There’s a guy I know that I’d vote for in an instant (I’m not going to give his name because it’s an unusual one). His job is running businesses, and he does it very well. Every few years there’s another company wanting to hire him to turn them around. But he’s also one of the most upstanding men I’ve ever met, hardworking, practical, intelligent, and exceedingly honest. We were actually talking politics the other day and he pulls out this list of things he thinks need to be done with our government, and I found myself agreeing with most if not all. Things like tort reform, term limits, strong restrictions on lobbyists and ‘campaign contributions’, etc. stuff we all know about, but he actually had plans on how he’d get it done.Of course, that’s exactly why he’d never get anywhere in an election. The good ol’ boys club would never stand for it.

The bonobo group leader:They don’t kill each other. They don’t fight each other (or they get straightened up by the rest of the troop in up to no time)They like to hugThey make love not war They share in case of food shortage

Alas, we are closer to the chimps so the strongest more agressive males would gang up and kill a bonobo leader to replace her and would attack and bully the other members of the group.

I like Elizabeth Warren. I rarely trust business people for running a government. Business’s job is to make money for oneself and screw the other guy. Government’s job is to look out for the most vulnerable while still keeping everyone else on an even course. Businessmen usually only look out for their stockholders – I mean campaign donors. Besides, government by its nature can not run like a business. The skills are not transferable.

I’m still going with the Chris Rock / Laurence Fishburne ticket.

They have done more research into being leaders and statesmen than most candidates.

They are also flexible, adaptive and intelligent.

All we need then, is a decent script for them to follow.

The script for this election cycle was obviously written between bouts at a professional wrestling event.

I second the motion for Queen Elizabeth II. She wrote a really nice note to volunteer to be a write-in, so I think we should take her up on that! Based on the book “Elizabeth the Queen, the Life of a Modern Monarch”, she would probably do just fine as our President.
