The rules are that Elvis is now playing keep-away with Lupin and the ski lodge, and good luck with THAT, Elvis.

Yeah Elvis, you took the box so don’t try to weasel your way into also getting the ski lodge scratcher.

Enjoy the loveliness of the cardboard ski lodge while it lasts. It won’t.

Ask a silly question in the middle of a nap and that’s the kind of answer you’re going to get!

OT: Escape!

I couldn’t sleep, so I tuned in to TinyKittens, & on the feral co-parents stream they were talking about one of Georgia’s li’l shrooms getting out of the nest. Sure enough, at 2:30am TK time (5:30 ET) they were all crowding around the exit, & one managed to climb out! She brought him back a few minutes later (2:38 TK time). Shelly, I think it’s time to open the doors & let them explore!

Well Puck, I was, ‘Spayed’, about 10 years ago. So, I will not add to the people kitten population. But, I will stick to adopting, Cat babies!

It would be funny if Iggy poked his head out of the ski lodge while those two were arguing.

I’m reminded of a spay-neuter ad I have about Rufus the cat bringing his human to the shelter because she is pregnant with her sixth baby, and he doesn’t know how she gets out.

Update on Lupin from Georgia: "This good boy has an appointment with a veterinary cardiologist on December 18th!!! Thank you everyone for the leads, advice, good thoughts, and prayers. I’ll continue to keep everyone updated. Lupin seems to be adjusting well to his meds and has accepted that those things in the pill pockets are not going away, no matter how many times he meticulously tries to chew around them. His energy is lower, he naps more and goes to his spot on the bed early in the evening now. But, he leapt over me while I was on the phone this morning and he is still playing. And even trotting about now and then too. His appetite is terrific and he still tries to beat Goldie to the food bowls. He is not sleeping as much as these photos make it seem. He just looks so sweet and peaceful sleeping, so that’s when I tend to snap pictures of him the most. Lupin still sleeps at my side, often on my arm. He is beside me now. For all their eternal frienemy-hood, I’ve included a photo of Goldie faithfully waiting outside the door for Lupin. Lupin gets his pill pockets on a plate in a separate room in the morning before breakfast (to keep any of the others from swiping them and to give him the space and time to eat them.) Goldie waits for him nearly every morning and then they begrudgingly stalk each other up the stairs. Iggy is a big fan of Lupin’s, more so than any of the cats have ever been given his somewhat antagonistic/teasing nature with them in the past. And Lupin seems to enjoy Iggy’s company too. Elvis is just beside himself that Lupin gets big bulky treats on a plate TWICE. A. DAY. And if Puck has noticed anything at all, he’s keeping it to himself

Pretty sure that’d be against the Geneva Conventions or something, Puck.

O.T. speaking of surgery…

With apologies to all dogs, it seems Elvis is being a bit of a dog in the manger. But with dignity, of course.

Many humans should be prevented from reproducing by any means necessary.

Today was my first day back in the office (and the beginning of the count-down to retirement!) I spent a lot of the day clearing “stuff” out of my desk and purging electronic files that I no longer need and no one else will ever touch. It feels nice to relax and catch up with the comments now.
