Bernice, when faced with success in the arena of life don’t be like that Pedro Amiro. If you get too [deluded] some peace loving bull will give you a whack in the rearo. (My apologies to Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, but i have been thinking for some time how Bernice’s RAship and self-avowed consultation abilities are way beyond her abilities and deepen her confusion.)

In the second frame, Bernice looks like she’s becoming depressed. But that’s better than what I expected to see.

Totally expected to see her blessing Gunther out for asking about coffee while she (Bernice) is in misery over her ‘loss’ of Piro (as if either she or Tiffany ever ‘had’ Piro to begin with…)

And, for good measure, Bernice might tell Gunther that this was his fault, because he failed to draw Tiffany away from Piro.

Even if none of that ever happens, it doesn’t look (to me, anyway) as if Gunther and Bernice have a future together with 2.5 kids,a suburban house and a granny flat for Mrs. Berger. Sorry, Gunther…

Well that solves the issue about Tiffany and Piro. He was not sacking out in her room, and she seems completely truthful and innocent. Tiffany responded to Bernice’s assertion of official authority with a simple explanation that clears up a lot. On the other hand in the same 3 panels Bernice’s fascination for Piro, the mysterious, who cares nothing about her, is ripped away symbolically by Hair, whose scarf it was all along anyway. A false talisman. But there is Gunther, observing all of this; will the nerd/guy finally see his opportunity? Probably not in Luannverse, but this panel summarizes so much in three panels. Brilliant!!

why do I find that guy particularly annoying? oh well, not to worry, if the storyline follows my life experience, he’ll flunk out, or drop out before the end of the first semester (we can only hope)

Berneice is not well suited for this RA job. She needs to do her homework and get a life.

It looks like Tiffany was genuinely startled, even scared with Bernice’s question. And she was drawn to look so innocent, I think anyway. Look at the size of her eyes! As for Piro he has another agenda, and it does not include any interest whatsoever in Bernice. The one who has interest is standing behind her.

I believe they are like an electric razor for hair.

I had a friend just like Bernice, I had a crush on her but she was always obsessed with guys she couldn’t have and could never see me. I told her a few times and she was just like “Don’t be silly, were just good friends, nothing more”

Hair doesn’t care. Piro doesn’t care. Even Gunther doesn’t seem to care (cold feet; cold heart). Got that message, Bernice?Meanwhile, Gunny, check out the Tiffster! She likes you, and who knows where that could lead? (Warm blooded, warm heart?)

I’m sure that Bernice is pondering this gem: All this time, she’s been wearing Hair’s scarf. She’s been smelling it, laying with it, seeing herself with Piro. She’s begun to associate that smell with Piro. Smell is a very powerful thing. Perhaps she’ll realize that the smell she has grown to like really is a longing for Hair?

What is it with women and their attraction to the dark, sullen, dangerous type who end up being wife beaters, dead beats and drug addicts? Excitement vs. stability I reckon…

Pointspread, Bernice had success by getting the RA appointment in the first place in very uncollegey Moony Uni. In the song Pedro Amiro had also had success. Then he let his conceit get the better of him. For Bernice her self-delusions got the better of her.

Actually, hair clippers are an electric item, a barber’s “go to” appliance, for general cutting. Can be used with a “guard” attachment, to keep hair from being cut to low in certain areas, or to give “layers” to a hairstyle.An example can be found in this link.

Forgot to mention, Hair Clippers can also be used with a specially tilted guard piece, and with various trimmers, to produce styles similar to Piro’s “star shape”, or even writing, as shown here.

Why do Bern and Tiffany have hair clippers? Clippers are normally only used to style very short hair, such as crew, mohawk, or military styles, in my experience.

Gunther seems to be thinking, “Just how busy is Bernice with the guys?”

Well mabey if she Talked to Piro?

Gunther loved Rosa, but their roads parted. Gunther got to first base with Tiffany, but they were both pretty unsure about what happened. Gunther selects Bernice with his brain, not his heart. Tiffany actually likes having Gunther as her tutor and has become less diva and more student. Through all of this, Gunther never quite gets “up to speed” and behaves badly toward Tiffany. Time to stop feeling sorry for Gunther and start thinking of him as a selfish jerk. He needs Quill to draw the picture for him. The nerd should be open to building a relationship with the sexy diva, because I think that she would be willing.

I think Bernice’s RA job has caused her to acquire…CRS disease.

And Gunther is thinking, “I guess I’m not getting any coffee here. I’ll just go to Duncan’s and leave Bernice to watch her Machiavellian plans unravel around her.”

Gunther needs to get the heck out of that community college and into an engineering program at a respectable university so he can have some sort of future. All of the rejection he’s received is a blessing in disguise, its a hint to move on to bigger and better things.

Hmmm, from a comment in the Sartorialist in thin red neck scarves appearing in Milan, Paris (photos), and NYC (comment) i have to wonder if Bernice will have a scarf of her own in her future, a thin red one without baggage.

Bernice needs to talk to Des. After all, when Bernice fist moved into the dorm it was Des who gave Piro permission to crash in the room.…At least, that’s what Piro said when he first showed up……Bernice’s mind is full of questions. She needs to look for answers now, or she won’t be able to truly enjoy New York with Luann.

-While it may indeed be fiction that Piro would have a relationship with either woman, in spite of Bernice’s feelings, I’m not sure she would ever consider herself to be Gunther’s soul mate…

So, why does Tiffany own hair clippers?

I’m confused…… I don’t even know what hair clippers are… I had to Google it…(as did ‘Mikeyj’ above). But the bottom line seems to be that Piro is just mooching off of random persons. Bern seems to be jealous that Piro didn’t borrow her hair clippers.
