Today’s strip must present a quandary for the commenters on GoComics, since it is regarded as a truism herein that Tiffany must be denounced at every turn as a wanton woman of no morals who should constantly be scorned as promiscuous. Today, however, the Evanses themselves are admitting the obvious, namely that Tiffany in fact doesn’t even date and his never had a real boyfriend, so how can she be a hussy? “No matter,” exclaim the Trufans, “because she is a trollop just on general principles, whatever her actual history of behavior! Burn that tramp at the stake!!!”

Okay. Someone explain to Me how what Luann is doing is NOT taking advantage of someone She’s NOT interested in, namely Jack the Jock; just to show up Tiffany.

I don’t know why Luann even associates with Tiffany when she knows that Tiffany always tries to get her goat. Why does Luann continue to hang with such a toxic person?

So we finally found a use for Jack. But yeah – this could get messy. And Tiffany goes for Nil?? Stranger things have happened (but I can’t remember them)…

Tiffany, the lonely “virgin queen”, might just become desperate enough to reverse the Don Quixote story. She will become Dulcinea and seek out Gunther as the brave knight who cannot resist her great beauty. Of course, there’s always Ox, who has had a terrible crush on her since high school. But, somehow, Tiff has to prove to Luann that she is still the dream and desire of all men. I like Tiff and don’t want to see Greg stop the progress she has been making with Gunther.

I just noticed: Tiffany has Nancy’s face. Put Nancy’s hair on Tiffany, and viola! She’s Nancy!

Since Tiff appears to be in Tiff mode, she is probably calculating how to steal Jock from Luann sight – unseen, only to dump him later if he does not fit her specification. That way, she can make Luann mad for taking him and him mad for dumping him. In baseball, they call that a double play.

Why has Tiff switched back to her old self?

Caution Luann don’t ever call him from an airport.

Why doesn’t Luann just tell Tiffany to shove off? Tiffany is being a major jerk here, not even disguising her hostility.

TOLD YA SO! My prediction from yesterday. “Prediction. This will cause Luann to obsess over relationships again. Probably start another doomed flirtation.”

The perfectly timed phone call. I don’t think Luann will obsess over relationships just to get a rise with Tiffany. She might go out with Jack, maybe not. As for Tiffany – Liar, liar, pants on fire, re all the dates and the hot clubs.

I see an UGLY double date coming up – both girls using whatever guy they can get for this game.

Gunther and Tiffany have had study dates, and including the one in which they “had a moment.” My favorite all time strip.

I don’t know why I keep reading this strip except maybe to see how much more inane it can get from day to day. When are these 20-somethings going to start acting like 20-somethings? They sure don’t resemble anyone in that age group that I know, and sure don’t resemble anyone I knew when I was that age. They’re children. Please Greg Evans, up your plot game. How about a plot line where Tiffany really “goes to the hot club” and something gets slipped in her drink …. please. You’re my last hope since Lynn Johnston retired. Nothing real happens here….

My two cents worth – I think Luann is playing a voice message from Jack the Jock for Tiffany.

It is odd that Tiffany would start this conversation, since Tiff wanted Quill, but Luann ended up dating him. Tiff lost out to Luann, so why even mention dating like it is a competition?

In real life a college female like Tiff would have many men asking her out. It is silly for Tiff to be portrayed as dateless or undesirable.

So, what happened to the TV??

Glad to see Greg is still doing art and posting it on the wall.

I had thought Tiff would have outgrown the snarkiness by now.

Getting back to the missing TV… Les took it. There is two ways to get into a self-locking door, borrow someone card key or wait in the shrubs until someone goes in then rush the door and catch it before it locks. This won’t work for the residences but the common/study room would always be open and have a TV. Les goes to the common room, sees another illegal male in the room (Piro) He makes some noise to spook Piro out (leaving his scarf behind). With the room empty Les goes in and takes the TV. Easy-pease. By the way does any man actually wear a scarf? Seems awfully odd if you ask me. (And yes, I know that no one asked me.)

Uh-oh! This card game just took a dark turn, and Luann decides to play the “Jack”… Wonder how Tiff will respond. I know she won’t fold, but will she call Luann’s ‘bluff’?

Ah Jack texts just at the right moment to show up Tiffany! Not that I am saying that was the plan, some have commented that Jack is a stalker, but that is way off base IMO. I think his tongue is just hanging out for Luann. But he would not do anything dangerous, The panel this arc between Tiff and Luann is old home week in their hate/hate relationship, but I think given the evolution of the story lines, this will lead to quite a denouement. But what would be great is if Jack/Jock should show up and his tongue with actually swell up seeing the two hotties (only thinking like a jock would people, don’t judge (lo). He would need his friend Emo to keep him in check.

Finally Luann scores in these destructive interactions in which Tiffany, for whatever reason, is constantly trying to sabotage Luann’s self esteem and her very existence. Yet Luann always allows herself to be drawn into it.

Ah. I just had a Peek at Today’s (03/03/2017) Strip. Looks like Lu DID do the “DITING”. So, THERE……,

Of course Luann has more boys after her than Tiffany does. Luann’s more chaste. Men are usually more sexually attracted to women who exercise more sexual restraint. If a woman whores herself out to any man who comes along, no man will want to marry her because she’ll probably cheat on him and because she probably already has someone else’s children to take care of anyway, and so she won’t be able to do as good a job taking care of his own children. On the other hand if she is more sexually reserved, she’s less likely to already have children by another man, and is also less likely to cheat on him. Of course the boys are shunning the girl who will fuck them at the drop of a hat, and chasing the girl who won’t.
