Poor Elvis…he leaves his safe zone to rescue his friend from perceived danger (and things could well have gone bad rather than good between Fig and Lupin) and here we are cheering on Tabitha. You are a brave cat and a good friend, Elvis!

Oh Georgia, I never expected you to reveal Tabitha’s languages so soon (in a subtitle)! I thought we would have to wait for ages until it came up in a new story! I am amazed and (again) absurdly happy that you have told us today in this story! Thank you!

(Now, how long will we have to wait to find out why she speaks those four languages, and why she and Sir Figaro speak Spanish)?

Looks like Elvis was very eloquently put in his place. Love Lupin’s expression, he may not have heard anything, but I’m sure the body language said plenty he could understand. And Tabitha? She is washing her paws of you, Elvis.

You have a loyal following here in Moscow, Georgia, so there are plenty of people who will be happy to help proofread Tabitha’s Russian. Not so sure about язык бурундука, but we might be able to come up with something in енот.

Tabitha is so protective of Sir Figaro that I have wondered if he is her son or brother. Litters of kittens can be wildly different in color and markings so that is no help.

Does anyone else hear the “low growl moving into a low whiney yowl” that I imagine “I will swat you, I swear to Cat, I will swat you silly” most likely sounds like? I have the actual “noise” in my head, because The Queen of All that She Surveys (the Iron Paw) would use Sophia’s menacing stance and I’m sure the exact same words when threating someone who was NOT living up to her expectations.

I have found over the years that the females are much more aggressive about protecting their home.
