Earl’s deadpan – brilliant!

First night in our fixer, we had to move the bed to another room. It poured and one of the many leaks was dripping from the light fixture. Ditto the main bathroom. Scary stuff.

“There’s a hole in the bucket, Dear Opal, Dear Opal . . . .”

“No, in the closet, Earl.”

The roof is not leaking. All is well.

Like my opinion of the sig other’s default channel being the weather channel. Who cares about the weather in Walla Walla Washington (and throughout the planet, on a regular basis) unless you’re there?? Give me the local forecast and be done with it!

It’s always good to ask, just in case.

The odds are that somewhere it’s always raining hard. So “where?” isn’t an entirely wrong question, though “outside?” is not a very good way to ask it.
