Taken to its extreme, it’s called “Black Propaganda” – taking the side of your opponent and making their position look ridiculous. I do it very often and some people think I am serious.
I keep forgetting that about 40% of the population is gullible and incapable of critical thinking.
Sadly, those who seek to control others seek to control language as part of thier strategy. With the systematic blacklisting of certain ideas, thoughts and comic performances, we move closer to tyranny.
Now ask yourself, which ideologic group is shutting down speech, shouting down speakers and artists and seeking to make some words and speech illegal? Which ideologic group is labelling some thoughts and speech as “hate speech”?
Now ask yourself, would you trust such people to control YOUR life?
The only people who take comedy seriously are people who should probably not be watching comedy in the first place. Ironically, they are the ones who need it the most. Chill people. Laugh now then leave it at the door on the way out.
Am I the only one who hates the over use of UTILIZE? Just say USE. Using polysyllabic words, over monosyllabic words, just to sound smart, is sooo stoopid.
All things considered the Democrat do nothing but make false accusations and obstruct house has convinced me that I will never vote for another democrat.
After reading all the political hyperbole in today’s comments I am more than ever convinced Wiley was directing this strip at GoComics commenters, and not politicians at all…!

“Satirically Impaired”. Or as we used to call them, “Republicans”.

If someone’s too dumb to get the joke, what makes anyone think they’ll understand the word “hyperbole”?

How do you parody someone who is a self-parody?

That sign is useless. The satirically impaired are sadly too often also intellectually impaired and immune to reason or fact.

For Woody Allen: “The next joke is yet another expression of self-deprecation, to be enjoyed to the degree of your own self-identification.”

humor is only funny if you can relate. You can tell much about a person by what they laugh at.

Isn’t it pitiful the poor people who see Donald Trump in every cartoon? Trump has set up housekeeping in their brains and is living rent-free! :-)

All I can say is Will Rogers, and Dick Gregory must be rolling in their graves and poor old Mort Sahl must just be shaking his head in disbelief.
