Ya, we’re finally up before I go to work! I always did wonder about cats being able to fit into tiny places. I think someone once said something about cats being more of a liquid than a solid.

Now the Woman just needs to work on her cake baking (“Please be a cake!”) skills a little ….

This strip really makes me miss my cat who never took a regular or simple route anywhere. He was doing parkour before parkour was a thing. Thank you Georgia!

I was going back over the mystery books threads two days ago to jot down some more book and author suggestions and thought…..wouldn’t it be great if we could have a BCN Mystery Lovers discussion group. Logistics would be daunting tho. But isn’t it interesting that there is such an intersection of cats and mysteries and mysteries starring cats? Maybe it’s because cats are inherently mysterious beasts.

And today Lupin again illustrates the question…Cats, solid or liquid?

Lupin Toe-beans! And I spot a Robber Mouse.

“HOW?!” – so ask we all, Woman. Lupin has mad skills.

I don’t think even Einstein could figure that one out.

Though my personal theory is that their mere presence warps spacetime. It sure would explain how Blossom manages to take up so much space on my bed!

That glass is impossibly tiny so of course Lupin oozes underneath it.

If that is supposed to be air tight, we need to get him out of there.

There is a lot of proof that cats are liquid

Just learned a new word – Parkour. Googled and it is even listed in Wikipedia. For those who do not know either, it is based on military obstacle training course. At least that what Wikipedia says. I think it was originated by cats who are proficient at getting in and out of tight spaces. As we all know, there is no box too small nor piece of paper for any self-respecting cat.

Yesterday’s theme was cute clothes including cat-sized. Check today’s “Snow Sez”.

How? Cat!

Cats can change their molecular density.

When they’re slipping through impossible gaps – liquid.

When you are trying to get the cat out from behind some furniture and into a carrier to go to the vet – solid. Very, very solid.

I’m so glad Lupin is out of his sulk, I really missed his infectious, carefree smile!

Cats Are Liquid! (Also solid and gaseous)

THIS is the Lupin we all know and love! Silly little fella will come around soon enough with Goldie. Also, this is the part of him that was NOT mostly good.

I dunno…looks invisible to me!

I and some friends were doing Parkour before it had a name. Looking back, I’m deeply grateful for surviving my youthful stupidity.

I think Lupin’s parkour moves must include a “cake lid tiddley-wink flip”.

O.T. Family Cat. Some months ago, I posted that my sister’s family had adopted a shelter cat to be company for my brother-in-law who has dementia. They carefully chose a friendly five year old, wanting her to be a lap cat. Their previous cat had adored my brother-in-law and was such a lap cat she would meow at him to sit down so she could curl up and go to sleep. She was with them for over 15 years. I had some serious concerns about the current plan that I didn’t share here, mostly involving whether the cat would do her part and if she bonded with him, what would happen when he can no longer live at home. So here’s the update. Once she realized she had a real home, she became quite lively, doing little things like bringing live lizards into the house. She has no interest in my brother-in-law which hurts his feelings. Luckily, with dementia, he cannot remember being rejected. She adores and has bonded with my nephew who lives with them. She’s also friendly with my sister. I’m happy to say the family is happy with her as she has brought new life into the house. My sister is amused by her when she walks on the counter or sits on top of the refrigerator. So it has worked out much better than the original plan.

I just showed this to someone and they were wondering how Lupin got in there. I said that I figured in the strip Elvis stuffed Lupin in there. But in real life it would be a question of how it happened given some of the photos of Lupin on the BCN website.

Ok, off topic. Just had a good laugh a few minutes ago as I learned today is the fifty-third anniversary of the Boris Karloff narrated How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The reason for the laugh was we were watching the DVD and was asked when it came out. Had to look it up and realized what today’s date was.

Speaking about parkour, on Facebook there is an incredible video about a man using his awesome parkour skills to rescue a cat in traffic. I don’t know how to link things here from Facebook. Personally I think even the cat was impressed by his skills
