It’s a three and a half tailspin for Pucky, folks! If he sticks the landing, it’s a gold medal for the flexible feline!

He’s a spinball kitty…

And I thought only doggies chased their own tails.

So, Puck had a wash and rinse … aaaannnd now he’s on a spin cycle! ;D

He may have hated the trip but he loves the destination.

It’s so nice to see Puck back to his usual, happy kitty self.

Off topic – Paul: So, we went down to Toronto General yesterday for a fluoroscopy and a swallowing assessment for Paul. He has been given exercises to strengthen his tongue and his jaw muscles; these should improve his swallowing capability. It also appears that the source of his pain has been found: the fluoroscopy showed two badly decayed molars. Paul has a dental appointment at the end of April, but I need to see if this can be moved up so the teeth can be pulled as soon as possible. He is on a liquid diet for now, to be moved up to pureed foods and liquids next month, and then coarse purees for another month, and then we move on to solid foods. It will be such a relief if these teeth are the issue, and his pain is relieved so he can sleep properly.

As long as the spinning doesn’t take Puck towards the table where a bottle of syrup may still be, he’ll be fine.

Beatrix is very pleased and maybe awed by Puck’s skill.

Russel’s 10 now. Every once in a while, he’ll realize his tail is following him. He’ll rebuff, it dodges, which ticks him off. This goes back and forth for a minute or so, ending in the tail chasing him in a mad dash thru the house and up and down the small spiral stair I have. When he was four, the chase got so intense, he neglected to notice the hatch in the one bedroom was open ( my house is an old bungalow, with an upstairs added. Attic hatch was left in to move furniture) He tore up the stairs, made a couple laps in the first bedroom, shot out into the second and continued down thru the hatch at Warp 3 into the downstairs bathroom, JUST missing landing in the toilet. Didn’t break anything but his ego, and a nail, fortunately. Spent the rest of the day, quietly in my lap.

Today is Worship of Tools Day. As a lifelong devotee, I have long thought that homo sapiens should more properly be called homo artifex or homo fabricator . I almost have more tools than I can count, and have at times come upon a tool in my workroom that I had forgotten I possessed. My former sister in law once said that every time she saw me, I was fixing something. I have “re-engineered” or repaired just about every appliance in the house. Having a high mechanical aptitude is sometimes a curse, especially these days when function so often follows form, which is completely back@55ward.

So appreciate what got us this far, and those who both know how to, and do use them. How many of you are, or know, a human “burger bot” fixer (from "Batteries Not Included) ?
