I write about dragons. This is a thing about me. They talk in body language, posture, gesture, tone of voice, and limited specific vocalizations, not in words and sentences… I’ve written this exact behavior many times in dragonspeak, and it’s rendered simply as wantwantwant!

LOL! The Woman’s spidey senses are telling her something with several legs is definitely in the vicinity. I wonder if the spider can understand chittering. If he understands the language of the crickets, which is closely related, he’ll be able to decipher what’s being yelled at him. Sounds hostile! Will Lupin jump out of the window after all? Will the spider become a tasty sweet that can’t be beat?! STAY TUNED FOLKS! :)

    Young spider, the subject

    Of feline fantasy

    They want him so badly

    They chitter endlessly

    Inside them, there’s longing

    Cuz spidey’s out of reach

No warning, he drops close now

    That chitter turns to screech

    Don’t dangle, don’t hang so

Don’t hang so close to me

    Can’t handle, your strand so

Your strand so close to me

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Queen Catshepsut the Golden: Arachna, I would like to thank you and your spider friends for taking care of the locusts and creating the lovely curtains.

Arachna: It was our pleasure, Your Majesty. We were glad to have a feast of locust.

Serfig-Aro: Your Majesty, honored guests, the cat chorus would like to serenade the wonderful spiders who helped us.

    Cat Chorus: Chitter, chitter, chitter…Snerk!

Arachna: Thank you for your music! And we spiders would like to leave you with these treats we made from locusts.

    Cats: Nom, nom, nommy, nom….!

The Queen: In honor of those who made these delicious treats, I dub these Nom Nom Spider treats!

Arachna: I bet they go great with kat koffee.

For those unfamiliar with kitty chittering, around here it usually means “I’ve got my eyes on you, bird!”Oddly, they will often do so while stalking said bird, and be successful. Apparently, birds cannot hear chittering.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat “chitter” at anything except a bird – not a lizard, not a spider. I think there is an legend about a deal between cats and birds that requires this chittering warning.

We had a REAL spider problem in our house for years. Not big offensive kinds, just numerous. Then, one wonderful day, little brown bugs shaped like shields showed up. Couldn’t whap ‘em, they just dropped to the floor; so I started scooping ’em up and putting ’em outside. Then I noticed…no more spiders. YES! The little brown bugs eliminated the spiders!!! I understand they’re actually called stink bugs, but I’ve never noticed a smell and they’re A-OK in my book!
