If only everybody had this sign to remind them.

But there will always be those who are convinced of their rightness to do anything they want.

This has always been somewhat true. But with everybody carrying video recorders (that double as phones, etc) it’s truer than ever.

I question if Big Brother isn’t in our homes to record as well! Isn’t that what Alexa, Siri, Cortana, Bixby, Echo, Spotify etc. all designed to do? Spy on you to make sure people can take advantage of you?

I’m surprised he made it that far. I like to think I have privacy in my house, but I could be wrong…

There have been some truly hideous things caught on video and made known to the public via social media. I’m not sure that’s always such a bad thing. Crimes have been recorded, and people have used those videos to show where change needs to happen in society.

Not worried about it personally. If you don’t do anything stupid, crass, idiotic, or racist there should be no reason to be concerned or filmed for that matter.

Finally Justice catches up with Trump! Well, no actually….only the Basket of Deplorables who were rightfully labeled but who felt free to act like Yahoos until caught and named and shamed on YouTube.

I remember once being told that God watches us and that our departed loved ones also watch over us from heaven. I think that’s how if feels now. Except now it’s everyone and they are recording it. Helping an old lady across the street today can turn into kidnapping or coercion next week. Sad, that.

I always wonder who has the thankless task of watching all those hours and hours of nothing? Had a friend in the Air Force during the Vietnam war who’s job was to watch radar screens for possible enemy planes. After a few months of watching the screens 10 hours a day he went bonkers (the story goes that he stole a plane and flew home for his ex-girlfriend’s wedding but I’m not sure of that — he was stationed in Vietnam and home was in the Midwest; but maybe he made it to California).

Pictures and videos can be very realistically faked now ( just so we get more paranoid). Saw one that showed giraffes lined up to jump off a diving board and do a turn around a trapeze into a swimming pool. Distance shots, closeups. Asking myself how anyone could train a giraffe to do this, finally dawned on me it must be a fake.

In the “old days”, “God is watching you” seemed to be the only thing that gave people a moral compass. Now, “society is watching you” is the new conscience. I don’t mind society watching me. but I wanted to be judged in a courtroom.
