That Natasha, she’s one tough cookie! Just as cool as a cucumber when finishing her bath and wrapping up her sexy naked mouse body in a tissue. Racy stuff , Georgia!
OT I’m curious about how members chose their user names. Mine is deadheadzan and it has no tie with The Grateful Dead. I really was a fan of a show called “ Dead Like Me”. It aired back in 2004 and featured Mandy Ptankin. This was before he started the series, “ Homeland “. DLM was about a group of departed who had to toil in the afterlife as Reapers for an unspecified time to make up for failings when they were mortal. It was a dramedy, I found it very humorous.
With the world falling apart. Almost all sports have been canceled until January. Music concerts and festivals are getting creative. Movie awards are giving up. I think it would be quite fun for the Robber mice to give a Fashion Show with what creations they can come up with… with a box of tissue! That would be so much fun!
Starting to wonder if Natasha made that tea or if the Woman did? At this point if a human finds it on the counter I hope they decide against drinking it! Who knows where those mousie feet have been?
at the time I made up this name, I felt pretty useless. like a defunct doormat. most people don’t even wipe their feet on them, and then it’s defuct? so it’s double useless.
I’d like to remark on how fair and reasonable Lupin can be. Natasha does have a point – and when she states it directly, he not only admits that she’s right, he apologizes! I hope Goldie is taking notes and considers asking “Why are you such a jerk to me?” so that Lupin can make his point directly, too.
National Filet Mignon Day —As an unabashedly proud carnivorian, this is indeed a day to celebrate. I wish I had a good filet mignon to do it with. The best filets I ever had were from a place called Tom’s Steak House (which still exists though it would take me at least two hours to drive there). There are those who consider filet mignon too dry, and these unwashed barbarians wrap it in bacon. While it must be conceded that “everything is better with bacon,” a truly top notch filet does not need it. Tom’s served their filets au jus, and the secret is how that jus is made. It’s not just seasoned beef bouillion, it’s based on a partial reduction of beef.
International Left-Handers Day. So let’s hear it for our favorite lefty, Georgia Dunn!
O.T. Mousie has been caught. I released him several miles away with lots of ground cover and the river nearby. Hopefully he was a lone ranger, but I will clean and re-bait the trap just in case.
Sweetheart is taking to the meds and new kibble just fine. She was active enough that i took her into Depoe Bay for a short ride. We stopped at Boiler Bay Park (now open) and at the seawall in town. We saw whales! And she got to walk in the grass! Good morning for both of us.
AH HA!!!!!! So Goldie believed Lupin did it just like everyone! When she was listing suspects back on August 7th she listed off Natasha first, then July Bug, and then Lupin last, almost as an after thought just because of their feuding. But she has him at the top of her list here today. She may have crossed him out and said she believes his claim of innocence, but the first one she suspected is him.
I’ve loved Willie McTell since I first heard him over 50 years ago. I bought my 12 string and tuned it down to B so I could play “Statesboro Blues” the right way. Also it’s the right key for my voice. The D chord forms down a 4th make A.
Please don’t let this stop here. I am loving it too much. I want to see Natasha get her hair done and a mani-pedi, a foot massage, and her making a suitable 1940’s femme fatale fashion statement while she is being interrogated about the broken vase — I think she witnessed something. All in lovely violet tones, of course.

Now that asking “Was it you wot done it, then?” hasn’t worked, time to examine the scene of the crime. Forensics!

Love the towel and wrap in panels 2 and 3 for Natasha. Meanwhile the plot thickens as Goldie scratches out leads in panel 4. Where will next she go?

Natasha is confident in her innocence. But be careful, girl, the system is rigged against Mousies!

But Lupin didn’t accuse Natasha of anything. Goldie was questioning her. Lupin is only along for the ride.

Today’s strip is so, so cute. Many things to absolutely love.

Cats and mice are supposed to be enemies, but here they’re interacting during a lady mouse’s bathing activities.

Don’t get distracted. Grill that mouse to find out whether she knows anything that will help. Then eat her. Grilled mice … mmmm…

Detective Goldie’s method seems to be just asking everybody if they did it, and taking their word for it.

Please. Not Columbo. That show used to drive me crazy [not really a long drive, I guess] with his ‘Just one more thing’.

I like the way that Natasha whips out the tissue to use as a towel. She ain’t afraid of no gumshoe.
