Tiffany should leave the hoeing to someone more qualified. And yes, TJ is on the path to burning down the Terrell house, forcing Tiffany to move back into the dorm.
Yeah, Tiff. Ya know…the 90-degree bent metal square attached to a stick to disturb the dirt to prepare for gardening? A lot of soil involved and dust. You’ll get dirty and sneeze. Your hair will have a coat of soil dust. It’s hard labor. You might even get valley fever since the soil is in the southwest where the valley fever fungi are very common when soil is disturbed and released into the air, into your nostrils and lungs. Or do you want to show TJ the 5-star kitchen at your McMansion? No brainer.
A word association alarm just clicked deep in Tiffany’s brain, a special sense able to detect potential trouble for the uncommonly attractive and sexy females. The rest of us, men included, just carry a billy club.
Idaho, no you the ho, without the e. I think it’s Karen behind the double entendre. I think either Tiffany is thinking of the risque noun meaning, or has no idea about the verb form of the word as it relates to gardening. TJ is hoping he gets to cook in a real chef’s kitchen with those top drawer appliances, right now he is not thinking past that. Dez is being earth mother. Which way is this arc going? I do know it has flow, a set up and a punch line (sort of) so dare I say it? HILARITY ENSUED.
I never figured tiff as the “gardening” type. Luann tried to get her to garden and this is how THAT turned out: https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2016/08/14
Dez, tiff will more likely negotiate with TJ to use the kitchen.
She doesn’t know how many ovens there are because sometimes they reproduce, sometimes they disappear. And sometimes, in the middle of the night, she goes in for a glass of water and sees elves in there.
Seems like Tiff’s dad is married to his career, with his daughter far behind and taken for granted. That’s probably how Anne Eiffel could sink her claws into him so easily. And now, with her gone, Phil again is taking Tiff for granted!Oh, well—At least Tiff will get great meal today, a banquet, maybe.
City People do not understand “hoeing”? Figures. When I was a child my father sent us kids to remove weeds from a field of crops using a stick with a flat steel implement at the end, a hoe. It’s hard work. Millennials & GenZ would not have a clue.
Well, now. I think We’ve FINALLY learned what Old Smiley’s REAL true love is. And it appears NOT to be fetching, vivacious young females, but commercial kitchen appliances. Very well then. I’m sufficiently weirded-out by that bit of information. Mission Accomplished, G&K.
Now, I truly hope that the rest of this arc doesn’t disintegrate into Old Smiley begging Tiffany to see the Farrell kitchen. But hopefully Dez talking Tiffany into accompanying her to do a bit of gardening. Sort of like that camping trip with Dez, Luann and Bernice awhile back. Just the two of them, Tiff and Dez, off to the garden. Well, maybe take gentle Ox along, as he DOES put out a Jolly Green Giant vibe, minus the “Ho, Ho, Ho’es.” Heck. Maybe We’ll even get to meet some of Dez’s neo-hippie clan. Some of them might even prove to be interesting. Nah. Old Smiley will manage to talk Tiff into doing something stupid at the McMansion. And that’s too bad.
Funny thing about gardening. Some “folks” find such activity “soothing.” And Tiffany should be used to hard work after working a grueling, low paying waitress job for the past year. The only thing Tiffany would have to worry about with gardening, is encountering the occasional poisonous snake, or creepy lizard while working the tomato patch.
Hmm. By the way. I wonder if the other two “male staffers” will also tag along IF the “garden trip” actually happens? ;)
Decision, decision, decision … Tiffany is between two friends. She can go with Dez and discover the joy of gardening while letting TJ use her kitchen. Maybe he’ll have an exchange of opinions with the Farrells’ personal chef? Maybe it will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!? And I really want to see Tiffany and Dez gardening together ♡. I still remember how awkwardly unprepared for nature she was by going on a field trip with Gunther.
Tiff is tuning out TJ to get with Des but Des has it in mind to put her to work in her garden. Meanwhile, TJ wants to come to Tiff’s kitchen and cook for her. I hope Tiff finally makes the right choice, this time.
take home message (to me)…the new Tiff has friends (regardless of their intent) and doesn’t need to be alone. Her dad has his life and work; Tiff should focus on hers. It’s good that she still works at the Fuse and continues with her path at Mooney. Maybe Tom will come home from work some day to wonderful kitchen smells and TJ will become the hired chef (in place of the other lady or in addition) at the Farrell household.
Of all the characters in Luanniverse, TJ seems to have generated the most number of controversies. First there was the controversy over his ethnicity; i.e., skin tone. There are still those that still hold to the premise that TJ is homosexual. Finally, there are also those that believe TJ to be criminally oriented due to his supposed Food Truck insurance scam, run in with the building permit lady and apparent lack of respect for the property of others; especially the DeGroot’s rental house.
Even now there are many that suspect that TJ will work some sort of scam on Tiffany. Do we see an illegal, that is, unlicensed and uninspected, restaurant in our future?
Wow! Not just a right turn, but a U-turn! Can’t see Tiff in jeans hoeing the garden, but…. then again, is letting TJ into her house better? Maybe TJ will take the garden harvest and create meals for the food bank from TIff’s kitchen. While GnK are paralleling the side effects of the virus, with no college, feeling isolated, they could address other social needs, that would be understood 20 years from now. Chef Justine hasn’t been mentioned. Maybe she quit! ;-)
Interesting. The plot line this week is for ancillary characters. Not a fan of TJ though. He once used Tiffany in a plot to set up Toni’s violent ex-boyfriend Dirk. This did not make the characters look good. Tiffany might be a self-absorbed jerk, but endangering a minor like that was not cool.
But then again, Dirk made everyone look bad, except Brad and especially Toni.
Tiffany probably doesn’t spend much time in her kitchen. She should let TJ use it to do all the cooking he wants. He can give Tiff a few gourmet meals for her freezer and take the rest home. Everyone will be happy.
