Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Trump will probably keep doing as much damage to the Country as he can until early in the morning January 20, and then will have himself driven immediately to the airport and board a flight to Russia,
Will he even go back to The White House now? After all, the whole press will be there, ready to cover his final departure on January 20th, which is the humiliation he wants to avoid.
True fact: When Andrew Jackson was inaugurated in 1828, overly exuberant Jacksonites swarmed Washington, DC, and smashed thousands of dollars worth of china! (The feds accommodated them by serving liquor on the White House lawn.)
This reminds me of Bill Clinton’s last days, but Trump is worse. He has destroyed the Republican party by making it radical right. I hope he’s gone after the 20th, but he’s the type to carry a grudge, so I’ll bet we see him again. We fiscal conservatives need to start a new party. The Republicans will never survive.
It’s been reported that tRump wants a grand send off. You know, red carpet, honor guard, 21 gun salute… I’m not so sure about the 21 gun salute though. “Accidents” do happen.
I would like to see a video tour of what Biden finds upon moving in. Keep in mind that the domestic staff employed there will doubtless have everything spotless.
I’ve been saying for some while now that before it departs the Besmirched (née White) House it will take an axe to the Resolute Desk and feed that to the fireplace. If it can’t have it can’t no one have it…
As it is, there’s substantial rumors that lots of pilferage and looting is occurring already.
Celebrating our last Sunday with this entirely disgusting excuse for a human, POTUS, remove the letters T and U and you got it. Bye bye you sniveling snowflake!
The t$$$p are moving to Florida? OK. Cockroaches the size of a puppy, killer mould, illegal drug gateway, 5 feet above high tide and now the t$$$ps show up. Excellent!
I’ve been saying since the election that Biden can find the WH by following the smoke to the remains after trump torches it.
Since the trump-riot, my concern is, he’s going to stand outside the WH and say “I’m moving out. I have my stuff. If you want souvenirs, come and get them! And you won’t get in trouble because I said you could.”
I’m spoiling the moment, I realize that, and I apologize, but in the Doonesbury Universe, wasn’t Trff, in his role as genocidal dictator, responsible for the deaths of millions of people? Not even as a result of incompetence or indifference but just out of sheer pure I-want-to-kill-lots-and-lots-of-people evil? Depicting him as somehow “morally superior” to Trump (within the confines of the Doonesbury universe) never sat well with me. Fortunately, that part’s over, too.
Just this weekend my local paper has a very long article about how Trump and his staff have destroyed records, correspondence, etc from the first day of his administration.
Good thing we don’t live in most other countries where ex-Presidents, or whatever, are visited my government representatives within a short while and provided a menu of “accidents” to chose from. We’re the good guys.
His never-to-be-paid-for limo will slink into the swamp to strains of Nat King Cole singing “The Party’s Over.” Once in the swamp, he will imagine with great dread the investigations, indictments, rejected plea requests, ongoing prosecutions, damning evidence & testimony by close family members and colleagues, decades of federal and state civil and criminal trials, guilty verdicts, massive damage awards to numerous plaintiffs, consecutive rather than concurrent sentences, and imprisonment. Along the way, he will obtain, either as a gift or a serendipitous find, a length of rope or sturdy cord. He will do what needs to be done and take his own life in custody, convinced that he is a martyr, betrayed by those whom he sought to help. He will die as the person he had been all his life, a venal, mendacious, arrogant, hypocritical, malicious, self-deluded fool.
If Trump staff really are smashing up things in the White House, it wouldn’t be the first time. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/jan/26/usa.martinkettle1
The so called Biden administration will be one disaster after another and the things that are coming will be so unbelievable that nobody who has lived in this country will be able to fathom them. Censorship, socialism, racism and mind control Lets see what GT has to say about that? Crickets?
My thought, too bad GT has the publishing delay. This would be amusing, if not for the reality of the existential threat. Yes, I love the image of the smashed chinaware, and the chandelier…. Oh if only!
Garry has never been able to get past the childish destruction wrought by the outgoing Clinton staff. He’s been projecting this sort of nonsense of Republicans eve since.
Totally completely entirely off-topic (except for how in another thread I was commenting on Trump worshipers’ “false memories” of all the horrible things that the Obama administration didn’t do) but how many people knew that Qanon stole its pedophilic Satanist conspiracy crap directly from the Reagan administration? And they brought it out of retirement just for Trump too. The eighties were really something. Of course, you can say that about anything.
OFF-TOPIC again — no one’s under any obligation to reply — except that someone obliquely referred to undocumented immigrant children (a remark about cages) and reminded me of this article:
“We just want a chance to work. We are defeated. We have nothing. We are left on the streets. We lost everything. Here, most of us have nothing, not even a blanket to tuck into.”
Unfortunately, there are (Unless I’m Wrong) millions of bona fide U.S. citizens, taxpayers, voters who are in a more-or-less identical situation and they have every right to expect to be given priority.
Biden will have to avoid being perceived as too “harsh” with immigrants lest he be seen as picking up where Trump left off but he’ll also have to avoid being perceived as too “lenient” with immigrants because people will accuse him of favoring immigrants over American citizens. All eyes on BOTH sides will have him under microscopes, more immigrants means more anti-immigrant violence, and now that people know that an assault on the Capitol is “do-able”, there’s no way we won’t be hearing more songs from the same album. This is going to be horrendous, right out of the gate, and it’s easy to guess who’ll be crowing about it the most, no matter what his new zip code turns out to be. :-|
