Anyone that blindly follows Alexa or Siri deserves the consequences. Same thing goes for blindly following any “leaders”.

WOHA Yesterday Joe was talking to Alexa. Today it’s Siri. Just about missed that.

Best to toss both of them out into the snow for first hand experience. Dig ‘em out in April to see if they’ve learned anything.

What about Cortana?

Why even bother with Alexa? You can only use it in whichever room you put it in. But Siri can be with you everywhere you go.

I can’t decide: is this snowstorm fake news or a photo op just for publicity’s sake? Of course, it could be part of some deep state conspiracy. . .maybe the FBI/CIA started it. . .sure could use those outer space lasers right about now. . .

The benchmark for a true ‘’artificial intelligence’’ would be, a sense of humor.

So, not to far from the truth. I was talking about dog doors the other day and suddenly I was seeing ad’s for dog doors in my online surfing. I’m going to start talking about girl friends and see what happens.

Yesterday while I was in the bedroom, I was having trouble bringing up my mail, so I wanted to tell Google to do it. In a lapse, I said Alexa instead of Google. She starting telling me that I hadn’t set it up & telling me to do it. When she started in, I realized what I did, told her to stop & told Google to bring up the mail. She heard me say Alexa, so to me I hadn’t added her to my phone. It took a bit to get both of them to shut up & finally was able to get Google to bring up the mail. The funny thing is half the time Alexa can’t hear me when I’m at the bedroom door & I was across the room at the time. She is in the living room T the other end.

By the way, I recommend being kind and courteous to Siri and Alexa so you have friends on the other side when the machines take over.

In the American South, weather shifts like that aren’t that surprising. We can go from our equivalent of brutal to birds chirping and balmy weather in a day. We had a dang thunderstorm last night, a few days after an ice storm, for Pete’s sake.
