If they’re clean enough to wear, they’re clean enough to hang up.

I — very occasionally — put Spouse’s laundry away when it’s obvious that “something must be done”. Every time I do it, she grits her teeth, thanks me (somewhat) and puts them away right.

Honest, I don’t put them away wrong on purpose!  Really. I just have no idea…

Won’t the dog and cat sit on her clothes?

I wonder if Opal also has laundry on their bed and on the kitchen table and chairs.

Earl should know that he can’t win!

Can’t break even!

Are they playing a role reversal game? This sounds more like something Earl would do while Opal fussed at him about it.

They will soon run out of places to sit down!

There’s an easy solution for this, Earl. Buy Opal a stationary bike.

Um, that is just weird. I’d go nuts if I saw clothes laying on my furniture. Have Earl hang up some pegs on their bedroom wall.

Do not think I ever saw this in anyone’s living room!

I have furniture like that. Color scheme doesn’t always work but that’s what variety means.

The sofa can’t go in the laundry, too!

Opal next time use the kitchen table and chairs ;-)

This is why they created “man caves”, Earl!

No offense, Opal, but that makes you look like a sloppy person. You can’t nag Earl all the time if you’re even worse than him.

Watch out Earl or she’ll lay down the law next.

She needs to get a treadmill. They are great for hanging clothes.

Is Opal trying to teach Earl something? Usually, she has a method to her madness when she does something like that.

I have a simple folding table in the bedroom for this. Yes it is a thing. Especially when I like to come home from work and change in to my lounging clothes.

I do this, except it’s limited to one pair of slacks and one shirt, and they hang from hooks next to my side of the bed. My wife on the other hand…

Earn needs his own chair in his own house.

So soiled garments, spread out on the furniture?

Is this the reason, old people’s houses always have that funky smell?

Don’t be discouraged, as there is NO way a husband can put Anything in the house away correctly. Stick to the garage, where she’ll never go willingly.

I have one of those!!!

I have clothes hooks on the wall for those clothes.

I think, Opal, that’s why there are hangers – to put clothes on. There is furniture for humans (or pets) to sit on. Not in this case, though.

This time I am on Earl’s side. I do not do what Opal does.

The Lovely & Charming Mrs. Cowboy does the exact same thing; drives me freakin’ nuts!!!

But at least Hers is in our bedroom, not the living room as Opal’s seems to be. And She does limit it the one piece of furniture.

I have a laundry rocking chair in the bedroom. When Hubs threatened to use it, I bought a backed bar stool for him. All clothes get washed and returned to the closet or drawers once a week; no accumulating. Works for us.

I get clothes and towels direct from the dryer that I get to fold …

Don’t fight it ,Earl. Just accept it. This advice courtesy of a man who lives with two females.

Earl just sit in the chair and when Opal complains that you are wrinkling her clothes just say “Oh I didn’t see them”. Doing that a few time should break her of the habit.

When I was single clean clothes went on the couch and dirty on the floor. I got married and we had to get all fancy.
