Poor Beatrix! I’m glad she’s got Baba to handle the grown-up stuff.

Yeah, it is pretty bad much of the time.

Yes, it has been rough for the last 18 months but we are surviving with a lot of help from our furry friends.

Baba is so right. Most people news is TERRIBLE. It’s the main reason I always tune in to BCN.

Tell it like it is, Baba!

It was a year of straight-up poop!

Sigh, it is pretty depressing that this pandemic seemed to release so many people’s bad traits and behavior. We are all the same species – the human species! We need to help and support each other, not destroy each other! Sorry, I’ll get off my soapbox now…..

I need a Baba on the days when the bad people news seems overwhelming.

I feel bad for the People….it’s actually been one of the better years of my life. I wish I could make that so for everyone. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((lots of supportive bear hugs, healing purrs, and ankle reinforcement for everyone)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Beatrix seems so mature and self sufficient it’s easy for the news team to forget she’s still a kitten. I’m glad Baba stepped in to assist. I hope Trevor will soon be home to offer his own special doggie version comfort and reassurance.

If everything isn’t OK, Beatrix, Elvis will be right over. Puck’s got this “anchor desk” thing handled.

That’s why I don’t want people news. Cat News is always much better.

Beatrix is the cutest kitten. She was rescued not from a shelter but from the outside elements. It was one of my favorite BCN arcs.

People news is terrible. BCN is the only news channel worth watching!

People news? Nopes. Nopes. I’d rather watch Cat mews.

Around late March of last year, I saw how some immune species were affected by events. When they closed down the outdoor food court at the shopping mall (I was exempt because delivery was classed “essential services”) all the little birds were wandering aimlessly around the deserted space as if to say “what happened to all the french fries?”

Tell it like it is, Baba.

One of Terry Pratchett’s characters thought that ee-lecting was what “they do to tomcats and bulls” so that they’re less moody.

Poor Beatrix… she looks shellshocked…

So my GC collection page starts with Cat’s cafe and of course, I save the best strip for last. Straight up bawling this morning…

Shame on people and their news. They have destroyed Bea’s innocence. There is nothing worse that can be done to a kitten or a child.

OT … Definite positive from this past weekend: I know many of you remember the last time I had to make a rush trip for a funeral, a little over two years ago to pay final respects to my cousin’s husband. Not sure if I mentioned this at the time, but my cousin was pregnant with their third child when he passed. I got to meet her, now a year and a half old, this past weekend. Oh. My. Cat. They need to take Cute Little Girl hugs, bottle them up, and sell them as a magical elixir. At one point, she asked me to chase her, and it was the fastest I’ve been able to move in recent memory, right up until I couldn’t stop and slammed full-force into a wall.

This, it turns out, will be one of two family stories she gets to hear about herself as she grows up, the other one being where she showed off the pretty pink flower she found … on the big white box that her grandmother had been standing next to while holding her and talking to me.

Did the boys ask Bea to research something?

Yes, it’s been a rough year all around. But BCN and all its various reporters have kept us up on the important stuff happening in their world. And it’s a lot more pleasant than the people world. I personally wish to express my gratitude to Georgia for such an uplifting comic. I always feel better after a visit with the BCN crew and their friends and family. The Orb is a positive oasis in a world of turmoil, and has helped me through more than one rough patch just by being positive and supportive of each other. Thank you all for helping keep me sane(more or less) during the pandemic. (((((HUGS)))))!

It has been especially hard for those of us who suffer Clinical Depression. The best cure for Clinical Depression is hanging out with friends, something largely banned for much of the last 14 months. If you have any friends like that, go visit them as soon as you feel comfortable.

They are why I haven’t been “home alone”. And their vocabularies have increased significantly!

Poor Beatrix. We are trying to make things better. In fact many of us are trying to BE better. You may need to be patient with us a bit longer though, sweet girl.

Beatrix doesn’t need to be protected from human news. She’s smarter than most humans.
