Luann and Bernice are pointlessly quibbling like two siblings.

Perhaps it’s time they took another ill-fated camping trip and did battle with squirrels.

Now that toothpaste comes in plastic tubes instead of metal ones, it really doesn’t matter where you start to squeeze!

I guess I’m kind of weird because I like my volume on an even number also, except for my fetish of 22, 33 or 44, to which are even also.

I hold my breath after someone near me coughs or sneezes. What is so weird about that.

Luann blows her bangs? That’s an obvious lie. If Luann blew her bangs, her eyebrows would blow away with them.

You know, one of you could move out. Or maybe you could complain about each other, anonymously, on Reddit. (The banana thing and the TV channel thing are both pretty strange tho)

That’s easy.. The fact that Luann keeps Bernice as her BFF, after how she always treats her, makes her the Weirdest.

Speaking of squeezing toothpaste tubes, you know all those little hunks of toothpaste that fall in the sink? Don’t rinse them down the drain! Simply let them dry, and the next day scrape them out of the sink and save them in a jar. Next time you have guests over, you can shake them out on to a small tray and serve them as little after dinner mints.

Bernice is the weirdest.

Saying “very unique” isn’t just weird. It’s wrong. “Unique” means “the only one of its kind”. It is an absolute term. Either something is or it isn’t the only one of its kind, so modifiers such as “rather” and “very” simply do not apply. You might just as well say “rather twelve”, and “very seven”.

People who use “unique” to mean “unusual” are destroying the meaning of a unique word.

Nothing like the smell of a well aged book.

Sigh…. they really are like sisters. It’s kinda sweet and Frank is absolutely right. But this remember me an old saying. “More than enemies, they were siblings”.

This is like what they say about The Rat Race: Win or Loss you’re still a rat.

Who remembers Red Dwarf ? The Cat used to read books by sniffing them.

I think Luann knows as much about Bern as her brother Brad. Heck now in 2021 she might be wrong on Brad about a bunch of things she might have knew about him back in the ’90s but not anymore as he has evolved over the decades since he moved out, got married and moved along with his life unlike some of the other characters on this strip. Anyhow, observant point by Frank!

These really aren’t that weird.

There’s one thing that you two have in common: You have questionable taste in friends.

I sniff books too…. But I don’t do any of those other things.

Add them up, throw in some bonus weirdness, and you get me.

So after today’s weirdness competition, tomorrow we tune in to see Nancy’s reaction to Luann actually doing thing around the house, and, how Bernice re-organized her system of dealing with the Fuse’s books. I expect pleasantly surprised, and, dismay, possibly anger (at least at first.)

There is absolutely nothing wrong or questionable about their friendship; all friends have points I wager that others might think are weird. I have said numerous times that the problems so many state are based on personal feeling, they don’t like Bernice, or think Luann is stupid or useless, totally ignoring that the strip is meant to be funny, quirky, but based on a benign world—Luannverse. Personally it’s tiresome to me, but I understand people can and should express their opinions.

Watching those two slackers just sitting around flapping their jaws would drive me nuts. They are acting like little five year old kids. I would have them both out getting jobs if that’s all they can do with their time.

I like the banana-in-hot-dog-bun idea.

Even numbers are pretty weird. I always keep the volume at a multiple of five, like a reazonable person.

I HATE the phrase “very unique”! “Unique” means “one of a kind”. How can anything be “very one of a kind”??? Drives me nuts. But Luann’s dad is right…

If they have a contest for who is more obnoxious and snobby, Bernice wins in a landslide.

Sniffing books is good, so you know if you’ve got a handful of moldy parchment or not.

One could open the hot dog buns, lightly brown the inside of the bun in butter, dust it with cinnamon and sugar, then place the peeled banana in it. Whipped cream optional.
