Well, Greg has not had Nil and Bernie in the spotlight for a while – since they were getting heavy into the sneaking around and heavy duty kissing, I do wonder if they have been kicking boots like Seffi and Kippy. LOL, perhaps that is why we have not seen them in a while – Greg cannot pry them apart to crank out a strip that is “G” or “PG” rated…

Whose fault is that for leaving Halloween decorations in a retail store that long?

    “Dust,” Luann.

You know. That stuff under your bed?

Look. Use it in a sentence:

“Thanks to Tara, my job has just bitten the dust.” ;-)

Xmas decorations are already up – before Halloween. Sorta makes them not feel very special. Today I saw a ghost wearing Xmas lights for a necklace. I wonder if that’s how he became a ghost.

Actually, I think it’s back-to-school stuff that goes out in July – as summer stuff goes on sale. Halloween stuff goes on display right after Labor Day, together with (ugh) all things pumpkin spice.

Totally ridiculous on how stores always rush things out two months before the holiday actually occurs. For example, in my neck of the woods, the nearest dollar store has not only their Halloween decorations in one aisle, they’ve also got their Christmas decorations in the next aisle over. And it ain’t even the end of October!!!! No wonder people get tired of holidays….

    Dear (United States of) America,

There is a holiday that comes after Halloween, but before Christmas; it takes place in the month of November, and it is known as “Thanksgiving.”

Why, that’s outrageous. In my day all they had on display were Kewpie dolls and penny candy, and we sat at the counter staring at them while we drank our malteds.

G & K should tie this into the weekly arc by having Nancy ask “Lou” if the store is now accepting applications for the holiday season as her daughter is currently looking for work. I said Nancy would ask on purpose as Luann simply can not do one thing on her own or make a quick intelligent decisive decision which is why she has “just resigned” from Kids First and gets into numerous idiotic situations simply because she never speaks up for herself and lets those around her control her life. She can never say “No way!” when she should!

Man I think the last time I saw Luann take real “stand up for yourself” action was when she pitched that necklace (or whatever it was) at Quill during their epic break up! She is almost as bad of a door mat as Gunther was in high school when he let everyone just tread all over him and his emotions.

This week it was really weird for me to see how the mall where I usually go has already set up a space to sell Christmas decorations. There’s really people that can’t wait to buy it in October?

Never too early for seasonal sales for which you can get cheaply afterwards to store away for next season.

It’s true. Holiday decorations come way too early! I saw Halloween stuff in the stores in late August this year, and all of the stores had Christmas decorations (with the music playing) a month ago. It sure takes the spirit out of the holiday spirit, but the kids seem to love it all no matter when it shows up! They could have Halloween and Christmas displays all year and the little kids would be just fine with it! Actually, the dads are just as crazy for the Halloween stuff, they wouldn’t mind it either LOL!

As a very young kid, I was so into Halloween themes all year round, I would purposely place real spider webs and dust all over my very first room; yeah, I was different!

The guy sitting up the Christmas tree is late. All that stuff should’ve been set up by the beginning of September….. right after the “Back to School” sales at the end of June…

And once again they depict Luann as a mentally challenged person who can’t tell the difference between something that is old and dusty and an actual decoration. It baffles me what they are going for with her – are they making a statement for children and adults with ADD? Is it for Asperger’s awareness? Or do they just opt for the “dumb blonde” angle hoping that people think it’s funny and it won’t get worn out?

That speaks volumes about retail. But a Christmas tree is the more appealing option, anyway.

I love Sundays. It’s the day that Luanna actually rises above the level of it’s weekly drivel and creates a worthy and enjoyable comic.

I’m disappointed to see the growth in decorating for Halloween. As a global warming alarmist, it seems to me a waste of resources for households. I have pleasant memories of Christmas decorations from when I was a kid. But, I now also regard that as a waste of resources.

My son has neighbors that put life-size fake skeletons on their front porch for Halloween last year. They’ve stayed there all year, now ready for another Halloween. At least I think they’re fake.
