I’m so glad I’ve found this brilliant, bleak and funny comic strip. There was a time comic strips were the true social and life critiques as well as joke factories of pop-culture. Good to occasionally see that in today’s world.

Based on the original phrase, more barrels are a good thing. The phrase is scrape the bottom of the barrel. In reference to food being stored in barrels. When food supplies were low, you had to scrape the bottom of the barrel just to find something to eat.

Welcome to the infinite regression of regressing. Boy, is the world regressing. Regretfully.

I learned many years ago there’s no “rock bottom”. It’s like a mirage. You see it, but you never reach it. And, never ever say you’ve reach it because there are powers just waiting to mock your belief.
