(In a more forgiving vein, perhaps – as has happened to many of us – their regular food is out of stock at the local store, and the Woman chose expensive high-quality stuff over offal scraps halfheartedly dyed brown from what was left?)

What about Lupin finger painting the wet food all over the kitchen? Was that too awful to portray?

If sweet Puck is filled with rage, the Woman should be ashamed of herself.

The hard part wasn’t re-reading all of this yrs strips, the trouble was narrowing the list down! My original list had at least 2 dozen so I’ve cut it back as far as I could. Can’t wait to see other’s lists!!

I’d suggest trying the “Mix the old and new together for a while to get them used to it” trick, but I have a cat currently informing me that she isn’t falling for it. Sparky darling, it’s prescription cat food for kitties with fourteen year old kidneys. It’s good for you, it wasn’t cheap, and it’s to help you stay healthier longer. No amount of mixing in has worked, just a few bits of new stuff in with the old stuff and that bowl is now Toxic.

We’re asking the vet to prescribe a different brand, since the company who makes her preferred food also makes a prescription kidney food. Here’s hoping she likes THAT variety, I’d like to keep my kitty healthy for as long as possible!

I keep telling my two demon sibs that their Fancy Feast faves have been “out of stock,” on-line and off, more times than not, all year. They say I’m a bald-face liar and a big fat meanie.

The vet recommended a Senior diet for my cats as they are both 15. Alice peed on it. So I mixed it with the old, making it more of the new each day. Took 2 weeks before they accepted it.

I think it’s touching that Elvis brought Puck his jammies and slipper.

I’ve never related more to a cat

I am working on my short story, Overdoing It, and getting it ready to enter a few short story competitions. I am expanding it a little, tightening up the story, and trying to bring it in at about 1500 – 2000 words. Next year, the second Giblet & Belle book will be out and I will try to see if I can generate more interest in the characters and my eccentric story writing style.

Besides, Hamilton said he wants to be in the next book, so he can add literary-hero to his list of accomplishments.

Glaring after dinner can lead to eye strain!

Best to mix ever-increasing amounts of the new food into the old until you gradually have 100% new.

Hungry cats d-o-n-t s-l-e-e-p! And make sure no one else does.

Is Elvis bringing Puck some stylish PJs and mouse slippers? Or is Elvis getting ready to change into them himself? (They’re gorgeous but don’t seem like his color.)

It is so nice for Elvis to bring Puck his slipper and jammies. And he is so dignified about it as well.

I got the cats a new cat food brand yesterday and they weren’t happy. Mr. Angry puss (levi) tried it and loved itthe rest of the cats nope. not even my new cat rose!

This morning I woke very early, but not too early for Miz Furbie who demanded breakfast NOW! I fed her and went back to bed. Much later I got up and headed for the coffee pot and there she was, DEMANDING that I feed her, even boxed my ankles with her paws (she does that when she is really annoyed) so I caved and gave her a small spoonful more. She was happy and is now curled up on the bed sleeping the sleep of the conquering and well fed cat!

If Puck is upset things are very serious. Elvis is wearing his readers.

Max is on urinary health food, which I get two different brands, and feed him one for breakfast and one for dinner. The breakfast one (Royal Canin) has been out of stock for about a month, so I doubled up on the other (Purina) and serve that for both meals. He hasn’t seemed to notice, but the only problem is that the Purina comes in the 5.5 oz cans, which makes measuring a 3 oz, breakfast portion sketchy at 5 AM.
