I have figured out what it is. It took me a while. Luann has made her presence and is out of bed before two o’clock in the afternoon on a weekend. And she is darned proud of it. Kudos kid!

I could be, and probably am, wrong here. But maybe this is a prelude to next week’s arc; maybe while we were shown Tiffany at work, Luann was working with Mrs. Fogarty and found some sort of teacher’s assistant job … maybe …. ??

Wow. She had her first one-night stand with a rando on tinder and showed her parents that it wasn’t a big deal to her the next morning. You’re growing up, Luann.

Frank and Nancy have no idea what’s going on with their poor demented daughter…and they really don’t want to know (or they would ask). Since the best thing to do is get her to leave in the quickest way possible, they pretend to understand what she’s talking about. Would that work with my boss?

Whatever it was, it must have been good.

Frank and Nancy know how to react when approached by a dangerous animal. Try not to show how alarmed you are, maintain eye contact, agree with everything they say or do, and back away very slowly if the animal doesn’t retreat. They were lucky today.

“Ta da! Clean underwear! You can smell the difference from THERE!”

Well, one thing I might point out generally is the overall atmosphere of love here, obviously between Frank and Nancy, and how that love is sought by and satisfied for their 19 year old daughter. Overall Luann is slowly coming to terms with herself and parental, loving and hilarity ensuing confusion makes sense in Luannverse.

If Puddles approves, it must be good.

I, too, say Ta-Da! when leaving the “war room”. It serves as a warning to others to wait 20 minutes before entering.

Maybe she picked up one item in her room and considers her room cleaned.

Duh, the woman has had beast “enhancement” surgery. Whether this involved enlargement, reduction, or a cosmetic alteration of a nipple or nipples, is impossible to discern.

Definitely modern parents. Mine would have asked, “For what?”

She’s just messing with them. She knows that they will applaud whatever she does, even if it’s just entering the room.

Training for her future life with a bf or a husband. “What do you think?” She says with a big smile. And bf has suddenly that look of a deer caught in the headlights, wondering what the heck has she changed in her looks.

A continuation of last week’s theme: the morality of feigning interest to manipulate (or spare) someone else’s feelings.

I know what it is. Luann is actually happy with herself and feeling confident. Who’da thunk it?

What’s wrong with you people? It’s obvious. At least Luann thinks it is. Just like that time she emerged from the ladies’ room with toilet paper hanging out of one of her pants’ leg.

Why can’t Frank and Nancy be honest and just ask Luann what she is presenting? Why say Oh good job when you don’t even know what it is she did? Luann’s an adult (19). They’re responding as if to a 4 yr old.

Give credit when credit’s due…even when you don’t know why.

Tomorrow: back to the untold story of Ox and Tiffany.

Not entirely the same, but this reminded me for some reason of a way my mother got one of my sisters to quit an annoying habit. The sister would say, "Mom, I know you’ll say ‘no’, but can I… (fill in the blank…something iffy, for sure). Mom wearied of this, and finally one day, said, “No” before sis could finish putting in her request. Sister protested, “But you haven’t even listened to what I want to ask!” Mom said, “It doesn’t matter; you assume I’ll say no, so I’m saying no.” Stopped that habit right then!
