Considering how many people are streaming in, I can but presume that the paid extras were meant to guarantee that at least a few mourners would behave with something resembling decorum. Good thought.

As an aside, so long as Trump and his followers keeps forcing themselves into the headlines, Trump is by definition NOT “gone.” And if he’s not “gone,” GBT continuing to pay attention to him doesn’t constitute being stuck in the past, whatever that even means. I’m just sayin’.

I believe most of those people are there just to ascertain that the Orange Baboon is REALLY dead.

I greatly appreciate Doonesbury in general, but this arc is in very poor taste. No-one should try to raise a laugh by scenarising the funeral of a living person, however much that person is disliked.

Methods to keep the undead from rising need to be used on the body but because of electronic media, his stench and influence will continue to influence his weak minded followers.
