Even when Iâm out collecting carts for the grocery store I work for, I come across forgotten mobile phones in the carts; turn them in to customer serviceâs lost and found. I once found on the opening shift the mobile phone of a fellow associate in an abandoned cart near the garden center (rather than the lobbies) and it still had plenty of battery power from overnight. Never once found a forgotten mobile phone on the shelves or in the coolers⊠yet.
I work at Walmart. People there are so often careless with their phones. I remember when we found 3 phones in less than a week which customers had put down and forgot to pick them up. All were turned in to the service desk (I found 2 of them) and claimed by their owners.
I was in Costco waiting to check out and the guy behind me called his wife to let her know he was in the checkout. Her phone rang, in her purse, in the cart.
It is OK that you donât remember where you put your phone or car keys, it is when you canât remember what the phone or car keys are for that you worry.
All the comments about phones and purses are strange. When I left a four pack of Guiness Stout in my cart in the parking lot, it was gone in 10 minutes.
A friend left hers on the counter at Taco Bell. (put down phone, picked up food, forgot to pick up phone⊠easy to do). I left mine on a counter at Binder Park Zoo gift shop⊠same scenario.
That was me yesterdayâŠI got a return call from someone and had my directory out in anticipation of her call, we talked and then I couldnât find my directory! I looked the usual places I might have set it down, nope! I looked in the freezer, garbage, odd places, nope! Then I discovered itâŠIâd put it awayâŠabsentmindedly.
It was easier to keep track of phones when they were smaller and fit easily into most pockets. I will never get over missing the size and durability of my Razr, although I had to buy new batteries every year.
My mom and I found a cellphone on a park bench. Donât remember all the details but fortunately the owner was still at the park and we able to give it back to him.

I put the brown sugar in the fridge last night. I had a snack of Shredded Wheat. At least I did not put the milk in the cupboard! :-)

Many people walk around distracted, trying to do two many things at the same time, and not doing any of them well.

I changed my honeyâs phone so it announces ââcall from My Sweet Loverboyââ when I call.
And I quote her now; ââI donât know why it does that, how does it know?ââ
Modern science, babe. Chuckle.

Itâs fairly common to forget what you walked into a room for. But when the room in question is the bathroom, that could be a problem.

One of the problems of living alone is the lack of that second phone to find yours.

I wonder if Earl is âgetting backâ for all the jibes Opal makes about him or he is truly surprised.
