Peace & Privacy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be…is it Bernice??

Ah yes, the one aspect about teen life I do not miss in the least: lovesick teen girls who absolutely obsess over their (new) boyfriends.

All we ever see of Nil is a small portion of a hairless face. Are we sure he’s a man under all those clothes? Are we sure he’s human?

You must appreciate the solitude, Bernice.

Time for the talk. It’s curtains for BerNil.

Puddles seems to love it too.

“Why don’t you come over? No one’s here!” Though I wonder if perhaps he is ready to move on?

Will Bernice invite Nil to the Degroot house to share her peace and privacy by mouth to mouth?

Bernice has a full ride scholarship and Nancy Degroot gave Bernice a rent free room. Has the opportunity to be full-time reader?

Reason #1 for the DeGroots to FINALLY tell Bernice she needs to find other living arrangements.

Bernice sneaks a gentleman caller in (WITHOUT the Homeowners Permission) when she thinks everyone is gone.

And before anyone starts with “What’s the big deal?” please remember that time Frank was uncomfortable with Quill “rehearsing” with Luann that time in that upstairs room, years ago. And Nancy didn’t like the idea of Brad moving in with Toni that time he got hurt, long before they were married.

Boringness is terrible! I wonder if they will continue to chat on the phone or if Bernice will risk the trust she has with the Degroots by inviting Nil to visit her in her room. If that’s the case, I hope it’s Luann and not Nancy or Frank who finds Nil in the room with her. It would be a nice comparison to when Luann secretly invited Tara to her room and Bernice freaked out.

“Hi Nil! Wanna come over?” …… “Can’t. Washin’ muh hair. Sorry.”

To tell the truth, I’d prefer Puddles’ company to Nils’.

Ah, Bernice is getting her Netflix and chill on this week. I wonder who’s gonna catch them in the act?

Bernice cannot resist Nil’s charm and good looks for even one minute.

As Carly Simon intones, “Anticipation” “Anticipation.”. This is a wait and see arc week for saga of Been and Nil. I’d wait before I predict anything other than it will be wacky.

This comic strip needs to be re-named ‘Bernice’.

I hope she does not invite Nil over. Any of the 3 people who live there could come home at any time. Awkward for Nil

Can we all agree that it’ll be a twist if she and Nil don’t get interrupted? Because this feels like the epitome of “tempting fate” and there’s no way Bernice is ever gonna lose her V-card.

Endearing. (But what is Puddles doing on Bernice’s bed? Oh—that’s right, she’s rooming at the De Groots?)

Could it be that she only reaches out to him when bored (or frisky)?

Maybe she’ll invite him to eat – tomorrow IS taco Tuesday.

I will guess that it is mid-day (on a week-day) and Bern knows that both Frank and Nancy are at work and she probably knows Luann’s class and work schedule. She wouldn’t do this if she thought she would get caught. But maybe we’ll have a situation, like when Luann was with Gunther in his room at the Gulag, and she left through the window.

My wife and I find it very comforting to read in bed together. At that age we can’t do much else anymore…..lol.

So much for Bernie’s hardcore immutable principles….

As much as we’d all like to think Nil and Bernice will have privacy to make out or even make love. They’ll be frenching and rounding 2nd base when either Luann or Nancy will walk in..
