What I see when I read this sign: “WARNING! Scam Ahead! Proceed With Extreme Caution!”

The 20, 20, 20 rule: Spend 20 minutes staring at the screen, 20 minutes thinking about your job and 20 years in the woods.

I’m looking for the Wiley bears

I feel trepidation that Wiley is contemplating retirement

You never see it coming but you know it when you see it.

He heard the siren call and immediately gave in to it.

I’ve been looking for that road since 1963.

Cue ‘The Great Escape’ theme and Steve McQueen.

Serenity now!

Whatever he finds, it probably is better than the situation he is in right now!

Sadly, more bears at the end of the path.

“Hey! How did I end up in Sri Lanka?”

Serendipity: making pleasant discoveries by accident. Recognizing serendipity: the hard part of the last 2+ years.

Age and treachery will overcome youth and skill. But luck will always trump them all. Luck is a superpower; probably the most underrated one.

Maybe he simply has to take a whiz and it is miles to the next rest stop.

Why is the road to serendipity paved with asphalt?

Are Wiley Bears called “Serendipity”?

I need the GPS coordinates of that intersection.

What would he do if he retired? Now he gets to go fishing with Eddie. Travel into outer space with Lars. And be anarchist with the girls.

If serendipity was so great, there would be lots more cars parked there

Where is that road at? I’d like to find it unless I have to die first to travel it. (sigh) I’ll just keep driving.

Not specifically to do with the comic but when I saw the car parked and the guy running into the woods my first thought was Ukriane…

If you expect something fortunate lies ahead it’s no longer serendipitous.

Who ever else drives down the road will meet his car head on.

Hmmm. I still wonder if this is a sign placed by the bears.

You can certainly tell the dreamers from the cynics in these comments. Serendipitous moments are few and far between for me, but I love it when they happen.

Notice that he’s left his car parked in the middle of the lane … on the LEFT (oncoming!) side of the road. And no, it’s not in Britain. The car seems to be a left-hand drive …

Where are the hiding bears?

Ah, serendipity is truly providential

Along the trail there is a path on the side with a sign saying “Unauthorized personnel only.”

Aren’t there bears in the forest?

Did anyone else spend a whole minute searching that pic for Wiley Bears?

You know, every time I see a highway sign that says “Pass with caution“, I wonder whether there’s a sign somewhere that says “Pass with abandon”.

I was expecting to see “Bears” hiding in the bushes!

Proceeding without caution is my favorite way to proceed.

Yeah, I like a walk or ride in the woods also.

Serendipity is newspeak for “clean rest rooms”

Serendipity is finding things you weren’t looking for because finding what you are looking for is pretty hard.

That’s the way I feel every time I go the the Great Bear Rainforest.

So he’s off to find – what? That’s the basis of serendipity : “the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for” (Merriam-Webster).

Where is the sign that reads: “This Way to the Wiley Bears”?
