Funny considering Wiley’s previous cartoon about movie directors ruining the author’s story.

As a reader I would find Danae’s expedition very enjoyable. Reading it as her teacher I would give her an A for inventiveness and her writing skills, but definitely not an A for meeting the terms of the assignment. Afterward I would have her entertain the class with a reading. Another A, if she showed the flair she has developed in thinking up unique events.

Lordy, I wish I’d been able to embellish like that when I was a kid.

The entry for this comic strip at Wikipedia reminds us that the relationship between Danae and Lucy is similar to that between Calvin and Hobbes.

Seeing Lucy made me smile.

These days, that script would be a real Blockbuster.
