I kind of like the mini-wheats. Though I don’t eat cold cereal except VERY rarely. My typical breakfast is very small: Couple or three heaping tablespoons of plain yogurt mixed with a heaping tablespoon of Kretschmer® toated wheat germ. And a handful of pills. And a cup of hot green tea.

You’re supposed to put milk on it, then wait, it won’t be scratchy, dummy. It was my favorite when I was a kit…

I don’t care for the big plain pillows of shredded wheat, which I had to eat as a kid, but frosted mini wheats are palatable

When I was a little kid, I would eat Grape Nuts® because my grandfather did. Nowadays, I can’t stand the taste of milk so the only time I have cereal is when I grab a handful of Cheerios® and give half to my dog.

I woke up at 5 and was hungry so had shredded wheat with blueberries. When I woke again at 9 my sugar was almost 300. Diabetics should avoid it, even the unsugary kind.

The only cereal I know of that’s like eating razor blades is Captain Crunch. After I poured milk on it, I’d put if in the refrigerator for several minutes. Even then, it was still a little crunchy.

Mom said when they were young (1930s), they had for breakfast those old-fashioned wheels of shredded wheat. First they soaked them in hot water to soften them. Sounds gross to me, although mini wheats are yummy (sans hot water).

The first time I finally went to the hospital and found that I was having heart trouble, the nurses kept coming in and saying, “You haven’t seen a Doctor for a long while” …. finally I ask one how they knew that and the reply was “Your not taking any medication” …….. I’m finally back down to 4 morning & 4 night (from about 16 plus for awhile) ………….. :)

No cereal here. Never did like cereal or milk. Two eggs, scrambled well in olive oil and fruit, usually an apple does it for me until lunch time. For variety, deviled eggs and fruit.

When Shredded Wheat was being tested, one reviewer compared it to trying to eat a whisk broom.

I like Shredded Wheat. I buy the original, large biscuit size.

I try to buy breakfast cereal with no or very little added sugar. Shredded Wheat qualifies.
