And all the big-money financiers behind those endless, massively irritating commercials hope in their heart of hearts that they’ll turn so many people off of politics that they’ll stay home on Nov. 8 and not vote. Do you want to reward their efforts by doing what they want?

Political ads/programs and a herd of cows have one thing in common, they both leave a lot of mess behind.

With any luck, the Bruins will have a good season. We need something to make up for the dismal Red Sox and Patriots.

In Rhode Island, there’s a guy Fung running for office. One of his arguments for voting for him is ‘’… Rhode island hasn’t had a republikan congressman since 1947. They need me…’’

Extend that logic and argument and we get ‘’Honey we haven’t had Food Poisoning in 30 years, lets go to a really bad diner, whaddya say?’’

My morning drive time radio announcer on tuesday made the comment he’d be glad when it was over because he was sick of all the ads for both sides.

of course in philly, the Phillys are going to the world series. the soccer team- the union-and in their play offs and the Eagles are undefeated so it’s a really hyped up city.

I’ve been doing some canvassing for a local political organization. People out there are sick of the ads and just want the election over. I offer them up my solution to their suffering:

    I haven’t had a TV in over 5 years.

Team sports generally bore me (unless it’s a cat that scores the soccer goal).

Why can’t we go back to civilized sports, like rapier dueling?

    No, TV wresting is kayfabe.

I prefer football (or soccer for those in the US or Australia, etc). Regular season is 10 months long with international tournaments played during the other two months. So there is always a game on year round and the only commercials are during halftime when they can be easily ignored, muted, or fast forwarded over.
