If you don’t like living in Canada, Elizabeth, go live somewhere where it’s less cold: Mexico could be a good enough place.

(I wear glasses too — I’m not that badly nearsighted — and I soooooo hated having them fog up when I wore my COVID mask on cold days; I had to droop the glasses down to my nose in order to see where I’m going.)

Try working at a grocery store, where you spend half of your time in the cooler and freezer. Takes my glasses a good ten minutes to clear up sometimes.

If you walk backwards into the house they won’t fog up.

Not only the glasses, but every time she goes into the house the hatband on her knit hat turns white from the earlier red color!

At least we don’t have to follow the button any more.

Fortunately, I stopped wearing eyeglasses outside., which I should have done a half century ago.

Take them off as you go through the door.

My Great Pyrenees thinks the best place to sleep at night is the doorway to the bathroom.

I’m sure the dog sitting in front of the door wasn’t a problem, though.

I wore contacts for years and didn’t have to deal with this! Now, with glasses, it happens like the comic strip when entering a warm building, when I drain pasta or open the oven door. And it’s been tough with COVID masking.

Oh I remember those days, one of the reasons I was so happy to get contacts later on, but yeah, still have my glasses for computer work and totally have that.

Gotta to have a pretty high dew point in that house to make fogging happen instantly.

Not nearly as much as they will fog up Elizabeth, once you realize Anthony is the love of your life.

I hate fogged up glasses too, Elizabeth.

I lived for a couple of years in Daytona Beach, FL. We had the opposite problem – when one came out of an air-conditioned place into the steambath outside, one’s glasses fogged.

The physics of the third panel confuses me. It looks as though she’s pushed the door open and it’s swung inward. If the dog was lying against the doorway (odd choice in and of itself since the crack under the door would have been letting in cold air) the door would have pushed him out of the way. This looks like she opened the door, he darted in and lay down in an open doorway before she’d had the chance to walk through. Unless I’m missing something?

She eventually outgrew the specs and wore them only fo r “scholarly reasons”

How did she open the door if Farley was laying right there?

In Florida, that can happen when you get out of an air conditioned car on a humid day.

Comes with the territory when you need glasses.

Had that happen several time while in the Navy in San Diego. Step out of the RADAR power room and instant fog up!

I live in Houston with high humidity, walk outside of any place with a/c and they fog up.

Tripping over the dog wasn’t a concern?

It looks as though the door opens INTO the home, but in that case she wouldn’t be able to open it with the dog there.

Here in sunny Florida, I have the opposite problem: when leaving a grocery store or my hubby’s A/C’d car set to “Freeze Chris”, my glasses fog up, once out in the humid air.

This is supposed to be funny? How about Liz saying “When I go outside on really cold days my nose gets runny.” What a kneeslapper!

Or better yet, wearing masks with glasses LMAO
