The partners at the firm are dog people.
Dad’s making one of those “Can you believe what I have to put up with?” looks in the third panel.
I don’t think human whiskers work that way, Calvin.
But he would then have to eat cat food and he doesn’t like cat food.
Preposterous!
I don’t think Mom would go for it either.
Well, it may not be preposterous when you grow beard at sixteen years.
Dad’s firm has no sense of humor.
But Dad, think. You can walk around in a tunnel in the dark without hitting your face on the wall.
Whiskers might prove a problem in elevators.
I remember trying to shave while I had chickenpox. The result wasn’t entirely unlike what Calvin says. But although I hadn’t grown a beard in my life, then I gave up and let it grow.
Looks like Hobbes doesn’t have whiskers, either… preposterous
Calvin is used to close shaves at the best of times…..
That and the results could be cat-astrophic!
My daughter kept after me to grow a huge waxed mustache like Kaiser Wilhelm or Dick Dastardly. I should have, just for a little while.
So, that’s where the school board member with cat ears got the idea…
Lawyer explains he is not a cat : https://youtu.be/s-frHneo95k
Dad must conform or be cast out.
I’d do it if I could be Top Cat. I have the top hat and tails ready
Dad needs to learn to play games with Cal.
Actually, you’ll look like Salvador Dali.
…or you’ll look like the Kaiser.
A local cop had a great mustache like that, retired and still sporting it.
It used to be the fashion once?
Sort of like Dali.
I like Hobbes’s walk in the last panel.
LOL…
Gee, I dunno, at NASA I worked for a manager who had a mustache like that!!
The CIA ain’t what it used to be.
In the third panel, dad looks like he’s thinking “WHAT STARSHIP DID THIS BOY BEAM DOWN FROM??”
My circumoral fur tends to lie down. I can’t get it to protrude without products.
Or anybody else. Adult male facial hair is the best argument I know of against anything that could be called “intelligent design”.
Anyone telling anyone else where they can or cannot have hair on their body is preposterous. I’m with Hobbes again.
