Wow! One of the few rare Calvinless Calvin strips!!

I have a sister who started spring cleaning in March!

Just kick him in the butt, Mom!! Enough so he won’t be able to ride that bike for a month!!

BTW, isn’t it unusual to see this strip with neither Calvin nor Hobbes in it??

I do house spring cleaning….every ten years whether it’s needed or not.

You can clean the house while I go bike riding.

I’ll admit that when I start cleaning, I start with the P.C………

He never mentioned the house.

He cleans his bike? I didn’t know that was a thing. Mine’s 25 years old and never been cleaned.

Today’s strip reminds me of the final strip of a camping story arc. Dad was sorry to be going home after a fortnight of camping whereas Mom and Calvin were both delighted to be going back home.

Dad: Some day I’ll have my DNA checked to see if he’s really my kid.

Mom: Take my word for it!

Mom sees that Calvin and his Dad are both very self-centred but in different and often conflicting ways. The camping trips usually bring Mom and Calvin closer together against Dad.

I love the way Watterson draws bikes. He must enjoy it.

Now we know where his priorities lie…

Cyclists love dem some cyclists.

We do take spring cleaning seriously here because once summer rolls around and the pool is open, the pool is cleaner than the house.

Priorities…LOL

Think that Mom maybe had other ideas.

Point of (trivial) order: As cyclists, (with excessively expensive bikes) we do not turn out bikes upside down to work on them because it will scuff the seat and handle bars. Instead we use a bike stand that holds it by the seat post.

I’ve got to clean my bike. I rode through the rain the other day.

At least he doesn’t call the bike his “special lady.”

They’re both fanatics.

Spring Cleaning

An interesting idea, just clean the house, once a year, and you’re good to go.

Can we extend that idea to underwear?

Reminds me I’ve got to clean my hot tub.

Dad is planning his Spring Escape…

I completely understand Dad. Properly cleaning a bicycle is a task somewhat more difficult and time-consuming than cleaning a house.

What ABOUT the HOUSE

Just took my bike in to be tuned up for the year. The shop said that it will be ready by Tuesday. The weather should be right for my riding by then.

Everybody cares about clean dishes…

Reminds me of my hubby. He loved to cycle! And was always tinkering with his bikes. Sure do miss him…
