…I don’t care HOW mellow Puck was as a kitten, I’d lay money he caused Elvis to have a very similar reaction to the look Pucky’s giving OraZ at LEAST once. Some things are just built in to all kittens!
@Robin Harwood Sunday morning at 2AM US Eastern time, most of us Yanks will go back on our ‘Daylight Saving Time’. It shouldn’t affect Sunday’s Cartoons but it will on Monday. Don’t worry, the US Congress plans to put us on Daylight Saving time year round even though all sleep experts say this is a very bad idea. What the hell do experts know?
Well, there are the kittens, not adventuring among the renovations. Ora Zella may be a chaos goblin, but she likes everyone! Of course, who wouldn’t want to chat with Tommy?
I LOVE this strip, this made me laugh out loud! Every parent in the world has had a phone conversation like this – Georgia is obviously a parent of both the human and fur variety.
Beatrixia: I would love to see the scrolls from the missing library at Meowlexandria. Are there any available?
Elvis-Anum: There are rumors that a few have turned up, but it’s not clear where.
Ora Z: What do you do with ancient scrolls. Can you eat them?
Bea: No.
Ora Z: Burn them?
Bea: Absolutely not! You read them.
Ora Z: But for that you have to sit still.
Bea: True. But if you can sit still long enough, you can find yourself on great adventures. Or learning of new skills. Here’s a classic: Where the Completely Out of Control Things Are Located.
Elvis: That scroll wasn’t there a moment ago.
Bea: I don’t know where it came from…Oh, Hi Agnes.
Agnes: We’ll never tell, but we can tell you there is treasure to be found.
I LOVE this strip, this made me laugh out loud! Every parent in the world has had this type of phone conversation. Georgia is obviously a mom to the human and fur variety.
Hey, O.Z., I don’t have matches but I have this lovely butane toy blowtorch. not a toy Fire-starting is a very important life skill. Perhaps you should learn fire-stopping first, though.
The expressive print of the handwritten “I’m on the phone” is one of my favorite things ever! How to get it printed up as a banner? I’m falling more in love with Puck everyday. His personality is so vividly painted with just 4 colors and a few lines and circles (his endearing paws). And I love Ora’s genuine belief that she is being good even as she plots arson.

No, OZ, it would not help. And demanding the phone isn’t being good.

Gee! Doncha start the fire!
It is always churning, when she wants it burning
But she didn’t start the fire
No, she didn’t light it, fetched no match but tried it…

That phone is nearly a human-sized phone. And it came out of Puck’s pocket?!?!?!? I guess the Cats’ pockets are Magic Comic Spaces, too.

I am still chuckling over Puck’s face in the last panel, and Ora Zella’s tiny tail twitch.
