When I was coming up, some neighborhood kid hit me in the back of the head with an egg. By some miracle the egg fell to the ground but didn’t break. I picked it up and threw it at him him as he retreated into the kitchen of his house. Have to wonder how he explained to his mother all that egg running down the kitchen screen door.

Just one egg would have been un oeuf.
