Yes, it’s bad. Who wants 8 million refugee Hew Yorkers wandering around whining about how they can’t get a decent bagel in Dayton, or Chicago or Denver or Los Angeles?

Not just New York. Most of the coastal cities. Miami will probably be first.

Geologically speaking, the whole east coast is slowly sinking.

I’ve seen the lights go out on Broadway/I’ve seen the Empire State laid low…

It’s a pretty good bet that NY is sinking, being so close to a water body. Venice is sinking and it is noted for its water surrounding environment. Although both of them could be experiencing the effects of rising sea waters.

No! It will be like rats fleeing a sinking ship. New Jersey and Connecticut, oh the horror of it.

This was bound to happen! After all the Indians who sold it to the Europeans, Knew it was going to sink! Today it stays above water only because they pump all the water out everyday. If the power went out, New York would be sunk. Funny thing is, they not very smart. New Yorker’s are moving to Florida and building Million dollar homes on land that will soon be a Sinkhole.

Well with the recent air quality issue there should they wear masks standing up and take it off sitting down? Hmm

Well, maybe the air will be better down there… ☺

This reminds about the old joke that 500 lawyers at the bottom of Boston Bay would be called a good start.

I don’t think I’m in imminent danger, but I’m working on growing gills just in case.

They’re just following Chicago’s lead.

Right now New York is covered in wildfire smog. Wildfires are no longer a local problem.

People in New Jersey don’t think it’s a problem.

So if someone wants to sell me ocean front property in New York, is that a good deal or not.

Some of the sinking might be caused by pumping water from underground. Some of the sinking might be caused by the weight of human built structures. Some of the sinking is natural. But, the sea level is rising. So New York City is going to experience more flooding. Remember “Superstorm Sandy” in 2013?

Now New Jersey can start tossing it’s trash down the sink hole.

Yes, it would be bad. (Sheesh — out-of-towners.)

If you have to ask if something is bad, something IS bad.

(Personally I factor in the fact that the current residents would be displaced and many would have to join us here in Florida. That WOULD be bad.)
