^^ Had to happen, pathetic projection above. Biden’s speeches actually contain full sentences and coherent paragraphs, though his age and lifelong stuttering issue are apparent. Trump’s, on the other hand, are utterly incomprehensible.
The “News Optimist” may still be correct but printed news — and especially printed magazines — are certainly dying.
I have been a subscriber to Scientific American since December 1972 when my father signed me up as a Christmas present. That magazine, while not a site that publishes state of the art research, is probably the best place in the world for interested laymen to follow the progress of every branch of science — physics, astronomy, medicine, biology, geology, archaeology, palaeontology, mathematics, you name it.
The magazine began as a newsletter in the 1840s and reached a peak, its “Glory Years”, in the 1970s and 1980s when every issue was half an inch thick and mathematician Martin Gardiner wrote monthly articles on games, puzzles, and early computer programming.
Now it is a feeble shadow, struggling to find enough advertising to pay for fewer than 100 pages.
Worse yet, they have just announced they are cutting back to eleven issues per year.
I still prefer print books and journals, it’s just the newspapers that I won’t buy. The last one wouldn’t print my letter or post an editorial note regarding the behavior of the person who responded to my Letters to the Editor by looking up my address and sending me nasty letters, using a false name and address.
I remember a Simpson’s episode where Kent Brockman asked a sidewalk newspaper vendor if he had the New York Times. The vender replied, “Sir, I am the New York Times.”
Just another pathetic attempt by Trump to sell his incoherant ramblings to go along with his mug shot t-shirt to try and pay to keep his @$$ out of jail. It’s kind of like the chicken and the egg conundrum.
Which is dumber, tRump or the people that buy his t-shirt and all the baggage that goes with it.
I check the news through Google News and nowadays they all want you to subscribe – local or national and they tract how many times you’ve visited their site where they limit that to a few then they want that subscription. I erase my browsing history every week – bye bye cookies.
If I were an optimist, it’s because I wasn’t reading the news. But if that were true, why are there so many angry republicunts? Nothing they read is really news. Especially if it’s on FUX.
Trump’s incoherent rants as an excuse for legal testimony may give his fans pause, if they would read them. He has turned into a self-parody who randomly repeats convenient lies and boasts. Remember Crazy Grandpa? These things don’t have the same impact in print that they do on a political stage.
For the ageists out there, Trump is only 3 years younger than Biden.

You probably can’t post those transcripts in the GoComics comments section.

There’s a whole lot of incoherent rants on social media. I’m glad not to waste my ink and my time to print what isn’t worth wiping on TP.

There’s often very little difference between a coherent rant and an incoherent one. They’re both rants, after all.
