Oh, Elizabeth. You should know better than to ask Elly to watch over April. That’s Farley’s job. If you really want April to stop bothering you, you should talk to Farley.
It may be April’s house too but she doesn’t have to be in that room at that exact time. She can do something in her own room for a while. I remember often being told to stay out of certain rooms in the house while my brothers or my parents were having guests over. It’s not too hard.
It is becoming increasingly apparent to me as to why I absolutely loathe another daily strip that features a bratty kid that drives his poor widower father up the wall. What goes around comes around indeed.
Enough is enough. Elizabeth and Anthony are being serious about their schoolwork. This story arc has gone on long enough. The last one about Elly going to the job interview and having to face unprofessional people got wrapped up in three strips.
This is the reaction that I said a few days ago I didn’t like. Sure this is April’s house too, but there’s absolutely no reason that April cannot be told to stay away from Liz and Anthony. It doesn’t really matter whether or not April is doing this “on purpose”. She’s interfering with her sister’s schoolwork.
They chose to do their homework downstairs? Does that mean they could also have chosen to do it . . . upstairs? That seems like something Elly should not encourage.
C’mon, Ellie, you know very well that April is only in that room to be a pest. Just because “it’s her house, too,” doesn’t mean she HAS to be down there. Would you rather Liz and Anthony do their homework in Liz’s room? With the door shut? Because that’s the next logical choice. And I bet you wouldn’t like that, no matter how much you trust them.

So, Elly, where would you have Elizabeth and Anthony do their homework without being disturbed? Her BEDROOM?

@C- You took the words right out of my mouth! That’s like in sports. It’s a different game when you’re playing on the other team’s court or ballfield.

As the middle child Liz has it remarkably good. Mind you she was the youngest for a long time.
April does need to learn boundaries but I don’t think it hurts to remind Lizzy that she was the same way with Mike

Of course tomorrow, April will be in bed and Cru-Elly will be disrupting them!
