For people who have studied some American history, you would not need to do much of a seance to have a fairly good idea of what he would say to the idiots in Congress now.
I have always wondered. If the people who thought up the initial laws, etc of the US. Saw the result of their actions today – would they even change anything. This amendment served one purpose then, but now is totally archaic now.
Lincoln was woke and he was a RINO. I am sure that there is some conspiracy theory that proves that the “libs” and the “deep state” forced him to end slavery.
Lincoln was so smart he appointed former Democrats to his Cabinet to build bipartisan support: Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles, Postmaster General Montgomery Blair, and Secretary of War Edwin Stanton…we could learn a lot from him
On the other hand, Lincoln was quite the wrestler, so he may have enjoyed the fray. In the end he would have settled everyone down, but the wrestling would have made for good entertainment.
The troops guarding WashDC were stationed on Maryland soil and the legislature looked like it was going to vote to secede—so Lincoln arrested them and threw them in prison so they couldn’t and Maryland stayed with the North. The state song’s later verses are not taught to schoolchildren: they angrily call Lincoln a despot and call for vengeance and warmongering. To the tune of Oh Christmas Tree.

The real Lincoln would have said you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time……

Didn’t Walt Disney do the exact same thing to Lincoln at the 1964 New York World’s Fair? I believe that he called it “audioanimatronics.”

Some “caller” needs to ask Lincoln why he bailed on the republican party in 1864 and essentially ran as an independent…
