I could not love this peace and goodwill to all the creatures vibe any more. Singing, dancing, and just love for everyone! THIS is what the season is truly all about!

Bea’s gotten out again!

Now I want to dance with a squirrel and wear a magazine-page dress.

Thimblefist is dressed to the 9s.

I can send them mead, and chardonnay grape juice.

What is Homestyle wearing? It doesn’t look like tomato soup. Could it be cranberry space goo?

I like that Beatrix has a magazine page dress like her new best friend princess Mad Magazine.

There is an opossum couple at the party. They have glasses, so probably not oPericles. I hope we learn their names.

Baba in the middle of everything. Why am I not surprised?!

Beatrixia: So did Mag-Lor and Aurora fall in love?

Elvis-Anum: Let’s see what Mag-Lor says in his scroll.

I was rather shy with Aurora at first. What could a warrior and scribe possibly have to say to a skilled Artisan? (Note: I had not yet met the wonderful skilled Artisans of Egypt, who are glad to share their methods with others.) But she put me at ease right away.

“Storytellers have an important role among our people. They preserve our history and provide us with new insights,” she said.

I told her about my plan to work with Australis to write down the Indignant People’s history. I also learned how they became Indignant (Another scroll for another day, Friend Elvis.)

Eventually Father and Aurora were able to create a sunstone out of local crystals. Now they are teaching the method to their fellow artisans. Perhaps they will become seafarers once more, or travel far and wide on land. The world is theirs to navigate.

Bea: What a lovely story. And I’m glad they are able to travel as they wish. It’s a freedom not to be taken for granted.

Puckmosis: Is there more to the scroll?

Elvis: Yes. Mag-Lor writes:

I hope to one day return to Aurora and ask her to become my bride. But first our oath must be fulfilled. May that day not be long in coming.

Bea: But that has been fulfilled. As described in the comments from January 23-28 of this year.

Elvis: True. And Mag-Lor sent me a note he is planning to return to the North Lands with a special gem his father created.

That looks like a fun party.

I see Homestyle has upgraded to “Caviar”. ’Tis the season…

What a perfect cartoon to lead us into 2024. Everyone gathered together to dance and treat each other, not as adversaries, but as fellow passengers on this rock that is orbiting the sun.

Also, I hope we get to see Ye Olde Forgotten Garden No One Uses someday. It sounds lovely! I hope humans never find it again and the moles are happy there.

I love everyone dressed up in their party duds – Thimblefist in his fancy new Caviar tin, and Homestyle with a bright, shiny Cranberry Space Goo can, plus the Opossum family in festive Autumnal finery and Wilford Brimmole with his purple waistcoat! And Mad Magazine and Beatrix are playing Twinsies, too.

What a glorious party they’re all having. Bring on the New Year!
