That’s a very enlightened view coming from the people across the sea. Unless they mean the Pax Romana where they conquer you and you follow their strict laws. Peace at the end of another’s gun, is no peace.

An unlikely event, given it will have not only an extra day but also an election that will become one of the most unusual of its type ever. The airwaves will be jammed with stories, containing both accurate truths and outright fabrications. There will be prognostication, predictions, and serious miscalculations mixed with prejudice, anger, and just plain idiocy. What a world.

To some enemies, the only thing they consider peace is for you to die. That doesn’t work for me.

Some think that peace can only be obtained by annihilating your enemy. That’s a terrible “gift”.

One of the problems with peace is that war is more profitable for the non-peasants/poor which is why we keep having wars. If we told the top 5% that they’d be the ones fighting in all wars, we’d never fight another war ever again.
