If you want to be good at something, you have to be willing to be bad at it at first and build from there.

That brings up the old maxim, if you try to fail and do, did you succeed?

I don’t necessarily think it means you can’t be bad at something, I think it means don’t be satisfied with being something you’re bad at. Find something to be good at!

(that said, I am really good at being bad at ping-pong, but since it’s just ping-pong, I’m not fussed.)

To be a real success at something you usually have to risk failure.

One saying we used was, “This is important enough to fail at.”

Or, “Failure is always an option.”

Geometrically speaking, this is a fascinating new apportionment of the available space in a Sunday strip. Kudos to the imaginative use of rectangles.

Like a fencing coach once told my son: if you want to be good at something, you have to be bad at it first.
