Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
As I mentioned last October when I replied to a reference to Turtle Power in a Wallace the Brave strip, I was still in a teenager when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first appeared in comic books in the 1980s. Two Good Fridays which I remember by their date are Good Friday 1983 on April 1 and Good Friday 1984 on April 13. That was a Good Friday on Friday the Thirteenth!
I read a book about British soldiers during the Raj, where it was noted that the other regiments, in their full woolen uniforms, were jealous of the Highlander regiments in their kilts. There were apparently some inquiries of the powers that be whether others could wear the kilt in the stiflingly hot Indian weather (request denied, apparently). Also, some of those flowers look like fried eggs onna stick.
Not until June for ScotFestBC. BC Highland Games and World Music Festival. See you in Coquitlam. And I have to come up with a new sleeve for my prosthetic. I’m thinking of an Orca in the style of Haida Tlingit art. Ovoids and formlines, or a take on the provincial flag. And thanks to a great-grandmother the Orca won’t be cultural appropriation. The Mrs says my spirit animal should be Raven, but I like Orcas.
The lads and myself once went to a German restaurant in full kilts. The guest of honor got a wee bit snockered but we had fun. The food was darn good too. There were about 8 of us, so we had no problems.

Happily for me, being a German-American, there is no call for me to wear a dress.

Too windy for kilts, someone might see the Loch Ness monster.

Ah yes, the old question. " What under a Scotsmans kilt" Wallace is going to provide us with an answer if he doesn’t watch out.

It’s not the most uncomfortable time of the year if you’re in a kilt. Try it, Spud.

Should Kilt Season be when kilts are killed by hunters?

Anyone watch “Hamish McBeth”? A fun show to watch, with lots of Scottish heritage and kilts galore.

We had kilt season all February – get to the end of March and it’s 10 inches of snow! Knocks the fire danger down for a bit though.

Wallace in the buff, I mean, in the bluffs.

The reason the Scottish call them that is because if you make fun on someone wearing one, you are gonna get kilt.

It would appear that Seagull is sharing Spud’s discomfort.

Wallace knows that kilts aren’t skirts, so this is his way of cross-dressing in the closet, so to speak.

Just make sure the kilt is long enough to keep the lucky charms covered.

Uncomfortable for all of us, Spud, for all of us.

Just be glad that Wallace’s imaginary friend doesn’t wear an evening dress and stilletto heels, with a tiara.
