When the first Beatle album came out, I played it nonstop every minute I was at home for weeks!

A Swift rebuke.

That’s quite a time consumer knowing how long that album is.

Never understood popular culture. My favourite music is metalcore.

I guess that caused bad blood, between them. Hopefully she’ll be able to get back together with them.

Because of COURSE Paige is a Swiftie.

Since I’ve never heard one of her songs, I probably couldn’t even tell it was one of hers. And frankly, all the songs I’ve heard that were written in this century sound exactly the same to me: little or no melody, lyrics with no meaning or just about “poor little me”. Tough to be a depressed billionaire, but depression sells well these days, particularly to teenagers, who have always been the most depressed of all generations, regardless of the century.

Taylor Swift is the most overrated singer in the world, I don’t know what made her this popular and she is not the only singer who writes her song lyrics and her instrumentals are produced by producers not her.

I liked her music from 2014 to 2017,when she avoided talking about politics but now I no longer listen to pop music these money worshippers take advantage of feminism and LGBT rights to earn money.

She has very a misandristic song that demonize all men, depict them as promiscuous, dirty and rude she thinks all women are angels and that all men are demons and the world is perfect for all men

Men treat each other worse than they treat women.

the reason of the rise of feminism is because patriarchy permit women to complain but if man complain about anything he will be told to man up if toxic feminists will control everything it is because of male feminists and patriarchy permitting women to complain, a lot of workplaces hire women just because they are women and women now out-earn men in several US cities according to Pew Research Center.

Every generation has that one artist.

I looked it up, and Taylor Swift’s new album is about 1 hour and 47 minutes long. Listening to that 53 times would take about 94 hours. If we figure that Paige sleeps about 8 hours every night, that means that she was not listening to Taylor Swift for 18 hours that week while she was awake. She could have listened to the album 10 more times that week.

In 2010, Taylor Swift released “Speak Now”. My husband & I preordered it for our Swiftie-daughter’s 8th birthday. Just days before her birthday my husband ended up in the hospital with a 35% chance of survival (thankfully he beat the odds). Her birthday was celebrated in my husband’s ICU room, with the lovely nurses “decorating” his room and bringing her & her little sister ice pops. She was so happy to get the CD, but that first night she “loaned” it to my husband to listen to in his room. The next day we brought the CD home and put it in the bedroom CD player, putting it on loop to have playing while we slept (the girls wanted to sleep with me while Daddy was in the hospital) every night until he came home. Not only did I never get sick of it, but to this day it’s my favorite TS album; it’s my daughter’s 3rd (after “1989” and “The Tortured Poets Department”.

What? Is the album out of style already?

Oh Paige, only a quarter of a century ago you were crazy about the Backsync Boys.

I actually like a couple of her songs (literally 2) but everything from this new album is absolutely terrible, IMHO

Can’t really blame her. Except for Taylor, the music industry is a desert for good music.

Recently watched a video of a duet with Taylor Swift and Alison Krauss. Their voices are very similar. Some of the video seemed faked. Swift was walking toward Krauss without the mike near her mouth, but you could hear two voices.

Have we reached peak Taylor Swift yet?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Taylor Swift song.

The first I remember was Elvis, then the Beatles. If it’s happening again I hope this generation produces more and better change than mine. I heard Taylor Swift encouraged listeners to register to vote, that is a positive step, where as burning your draft card was a negative sign, not wrong, just not positive.

This 70 yo Deadhead knows every note of the classic rock catalog by heart, so when SiriusXM sent me an email about a limited time T Swift channel 13, I figured I’d give it a listen, why not? Been listening when I’m driving for a week, and one more week to go. It’s not bad, even enjoyable when you hear the songs a few times. I won’t become a Swiftie, but a nice change of pace before I go back to the same old classic rock. Why do naysayers enjoy complaining about TS? Nothing changes, just like our parents skeptical of young people’s music back in our youth.

There’s a fine line between listening to something a few times versus brainwashing yourself voluntarily.

If I was Andy, I would remove Paige from that school immediately. And I would sue those girls for what they did to my daughter!

This is the type of behavior that causes kids to transfer schools, run away, or worse, end their own lives!

As Taylor once said, “why you gotta be so mean.”And she wouldn’t stand for this behavior!

Bought the cd when it first came out, but haven’t listened to it yet (tough several of the songs have come up in my Pandora channel). Used to be that when I bought a new cd, I’d open it up in the car and listen to it while running the rest of my errands. But my new car doesn’t have a cd player.

If Paige needs more time to listen, Mom should give her some since she is reading Thyme Magazine.

Anyone who listens to her garbage even once should be made to surrender their “human race membership” card. My God, can’t she sing about something OTHER than bad boyfriends and/ or break-ups?

I’ve listened to it exactly zero times. I expect that trend will continue.

Taylor swift has entered my life when I HATE HER and she just ruined a comic. ruining a comic is a crime against humanity.

We all sound like what our parents said about the music we liked when we were teenagers. Nobody has cornered the market on what music should sound like; everyone has different tastes.

Sports and celebrity idolization have gone way too far in our society.

What worries me must is the stories I hear about the fans of celebrities such as her basing their political choices on those of a celebrity.

No matter how much you love something or are loyal to a cause, there will always be those who question your love or loyalty or say it isn’t good enough. Paige needs to learn that the other girls at school are not the authority of how much of a fan she is of Taylor Swift.

I’m never, ever, ever gonna listen to Taylor Swift deliberately.

Is a Swiftie Card the female version of a semi-automatic rifle company’s Man Card?
