I am 100%(one hundred percent) convinced that EVERYBODY wants the same thing, as it will lead to the eventual destruction of the Anti-Christ(no, NOT Donald Trump, somebody FAR WORSE): ELON MUSK Dan aka…ps peace out(mike drop, son)!!!!
I had Twitter, still do as this “X” and thought numerous times of deleting it now that Musk has turned it into a rat’s nest of a right wing echo chamber, spreading conspiracy theories, outright lies and Trump Devotion Syndrome. Unfortunately, Musk is too wealthy to run it into the ground like Donny’s businesses.
Times are I’m bored and check it out and, unfortunately, drawn into feeding the trolls.
If you don’t like X or what it has become, don’t use it. I like it more than ever. I stopped enjoying Reddit so I don’t go there anymore. If someone still enjoys it, that’s fine. If I end up hating X in the future, I’ll stop posting and browsing.
Except in print, I have not heard anyone in my day-to-day interactions ever call it X. It’s also a little tiresome to read as I’m sure it is for the journalists to reference it as “formerly known as…”. It will probably go extinct before everyone is in unison on calling it X. You would think someone who is supposed to be a genius could come up with something better or, just keep the brand recognition what it was.
X is impressively better than was Twitter. I never see any of the epithets that were so common before. Seems to be committed to free speech, and it might be the only one; “Libs of Tik Tok” – which only reposts the foolishness it sees elsewhere – was kicked off other sites.
I feel like not enough people realize that any community with millions of people is going to consist entirely of nerds arguing about everything with each other
To cope with X and acknowledge the name change, we need new terminology. With Twitter, we had Tweeting and the resultant Tweets. With X we should have X-creating and the resultant X-crements. These new names work on more than one level in that they incorporate the name change and the current content of X.
Being in a range between asocial and downright hostile, places like that hold zero appeal to me. The slower pace of comment columns like this is more preferable.

Miles Standish: “Be gone, pests, and give me the bird!”
Yakko Warner: “We’d love to, really, but the Fox censors won’t allow it.”
I saw that on an episode of Animaniacs from the 1990s. One of many hidden adult jokes sprinkled throughout the series.

I had a Twitter account but never used it. When Musk bought ‘em, I cancelled the account. I STILL don’t see the point.

Xitter, where “free speech” means that Nazis are free to attack Jews, but you can’t criticize a billionaire.
