He is a Born Loser, but…whose father have ever said that?

Ah, today, he was a winner. Mark this one down.

I’m sure that’s a two way street, Brutus wouldn’t trade Wilberforce for anyone either, especially after he comes up with something like that. There are a lot of things Brutus cannot control. Those things he can control though, he does very well.

And tears go by.

Who is this kid and what has he done to the real Wilburforce?

When I was around 4, someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Since my dad wasn’t a policeman, or an astronaut, or a fireman, or anything a kid would think of, I said, “I want to be a nothing, like my dad!.” It got a lot of laughs and I did explain what I meant. But guess what. I grew up and that’s what I am. (And it’s still funny)Great, good-feeling comic today.

Just got off from a Facebook chat with my daughter, in the UK… Made me happiest dad… (Blasted allergy)…

I must be doing something right. Even though my children have their own major issues to deal with they express their concerns with my pain and mobility issues and step in to help when they see I need it. Today they will share kitchen duties and make what has become our traditional Father’s Day meal of pulled pork, coleslaw, and baked mac and cheese. Nothing could make me happier. ;-)

It takes a special kind of person to sell tea cozies.

Now, could I have 20 bucks?

Wilberforce, be thankful you have a loving father in your life. Mine has chosen not to be a part of mine and I’m sure for many years he would have preferred I didn’t exist because of the child support he tried not to pay.

This caused me to tear up. My dad’s been gone for several years now and I still miss him. This was your best toon of all time!

Aww. What a beautiful strip today. I think my contact lenses are making my eyes water. Wilberforce made Brutus realize he’s a winner to him. Tonight I will be raising a glass to all those whose father was killed in battle and to those that never had a chance to become fathers. It was intended as a Father’s Day song, but a line from Eric Bogle’s Bringing Buddy Home says it all “For your son’s just a name on a cold marble stone, and he’s never, never coming home”.

Brutus just melted a little. Today, I took my therapy dog to the hospital to see some fathers who were alone and some others who just really needed some good dog therapy.

WOW! Talk about pulling at the tear ducts. Miracle words for all us Dads out here. Thank you.
