In solidarity (or semi solidarity) Seagull will deposit something in the ocean.

According to legend, the oceaned shoes will soon beget the 6th WtB book.

Is Seagull whistling? Or some other musical bird-like sound? Seagull calls don’t normally translate as musical, they’re more like a squawk. But of course this Seagull is special.

Oh you know better than this, boy-yoh.

Didn’t his mother buy him floating shoes last year? I would have thought that she would have continued doing that.

So, he remembers what happen to him last time, but forgot that his mom said about disposing his shoes another way.

Mom should talk with him about littering, microplastics, preservation of nature, and waste of resources.

The tradition continues. Last year, mom was annoyed. Two years ago, m9m encouraged it. Now to see how it goes this year.

Okay gotta give him points for being clever about his annual tradition. His mom probably won’t be happy, but I think he finally realized as fun as the annual big ole parade is, all it does is make sure his mom knows. I also love this runner: they find some fun new way to play with it each year. Granted it feels REALLY weird coming at the tail end of june (I.e. long after most schools around here let out), as Snow delay’s are more managed these days, but hey, it’s still fun.

Anyone who’s ever been sleepwalking can relate.

Summer vacation “Officially” begins at one past midnight of the first day you don’t have to go to school. He’s not wasting a minute this year! Probably will go wake Spud afterwards for the first adventure of the summer.
