Was pushed into thinking I wanted to be a teacher. I didn’t.

All the time. I wanted to be a programmer in high school. Watching hubby go through the garbage he has in his career, nursing was much better, plus I was able to do some real good.

I thought I wanted to work alone. Determined later that was the opposite of what I wanted.

Thank God, I didn’t become a permanent city staff person, and was able to decide, and choose where and how I worked, and to learn and do other things also. Thank God always.

No. I knew what I wanted and lived it. It was like I wasn’t working at all. I never said to myself.. I don’t want to go to work.

Oh, golly, yes! Like some guys I thought I couldn’t live without… I was so much better off without them!

I am not sure. Some desicions in my life were good, others not. And some were inevitable- even if I did not like them much.

Not really- but I have looked back and been Very glad I did not get what I deserved…lol

I’m grateful that I didn’t get into my first choice college, though I was pretty upset at the time.

Yes! If I ever get access to a Time Machine, I will go back and try to convince myself to not even start to travel that path!

This has happened more times than I can count. I’ve dodged a bullet many times.

What you desire is not necessarily good for you especially in the long term.

i spent too many years living the life others thought was best for me and for many more years have been happy to be living the life i wanted in the first place… ☺

Absolutely! I thank God that he directed me away from what wasn’t good for me. I didn’t understand it before, but when you look back, it’s enough to make you so grateful.
