I think the reason there is no metalworking or welding equipment the Fox household is not because of Jason but Andy knows with that kind of hobby, Roger would defiantly burn the house down.
As someone who has made tons of costumes lemme say you do NOT want metal on a costume. A costume made from 3d printed parts or foam is already super hot and pretty hot, adding metal would be a nightmare.
Wow… this is déjà vu-adjacent experience. An hour ago I woke up. In one of my last dreams (probably the last, I rarely remember more) I’m in a house, and as I’m leaving I see a child trick-or-treating outside.
He is in some kind of box with levers. I look up and realize that his costume is a mechanical structure that vaguely resembles a 20-foot-tall partially functional transformer robot. It’s very barebones but still impressive. In the dream I do think that there is no way he can make it resemble a car, but that is too much to ask.
I tell him something like “cool costume”… and that’s all I remember.
For somebody as smart as Jason, wouldn’t he think to take the money he needs to build the transformer and instead just head to the store and buy them out of candy?
Since I can’t post links do a search on YT for Transformers Kids 1 on 1 you’ll be glad you did. Just make sure to check out all the videos on the channel.
My good friend made transformer costumes for his two sons out of cardboard, and they would actually transform into cars also. Very impressive and easy to walk around in.

Jason is a whiz at math. I suspect that if given power tools he’s serious injure himself.

My car is a silver Hyundai hatchback. Would a 5-foot robot do?

When Jason starts asking about cutting torches you know it’s time to just say no.

Basically, he wants to be a silver 2018 version of the autobot Trailblazer.

I have seen videos online of homemade cardboard Transformer costumes that collapse down into car costumes. Very well done; very impressive!

Can you work with a 2002 Pontiac Aztek? It’s not silver, it’s more of a rust color, now. Still runs (gets about 50 mile/quart).
