Had neighbors that would walk their little yapper past my house. I would attempt to go out and talk with them. But the little yapper would not stop barking as soon as I approached, making conversation impossible. She (it was her dog) would only laugh and made no attempt at quieting the mutt. I gave up trying.

Dogs are okay, it’s the dog breath, the slobber and dog hair that’s makes me cringe a bit.

I have never owned a dog. I have never felt the need to subjugate an animal just so I could have something around to feel superior to. Cats on the other hand, keep me around for exactly that reason.

You dodged a bullet on that one buddy. I agree that women should not date someone that their dog is leery of. However, if she has her dogs so ill behaved that they climb on you… Dodged a bullet.

I’m a cat guy. I’ve been dating a woman a few times. Every time we are walking on the street, she literally stops to pet EVERY dog along the way. Not a great sign.

Dogs being obnoxious always starts with the owner, I never blame the dog ! ;-)

Why must I like being jumped upon by your mutts? Am I supposed to sit and take it if they hump my shin? Should I welcome the flea bites too? I’m leaving, now.

I agree… I like dogs, but can’t stand to be licked on the face (or other really intrusive behavior). I would not be able to live with someone who allowed dogs to do such things.

Hmm, if she lets her dogs lick her face like that I would imagine that kissing her could come uncomfortably close to kissing her dogs. Considering that some dogs do utterly filthy things with their mouths and the prospect of other fish in the sea.
