Elly does usually put weenie bits in her macaroni and cheese. We have actually seen that before in a couple of comic strips. Continuity! Yay!

However, it is common for macaroni and cheese to be the only dish for dinner? I know some people in Canada call it Kraft dinner, but it is really the dinner? I usually think of mac & cheese as a side dish to something else a little more substantial.

Gee, Elizabeth actually took the time to cut up a wiener for Edgar?? I’m impressed!

I like it with ground beef, but it’s not a meal without a green vegetable or salad at least.

Mac +Cheese with Bacon Bits or Fried Spam ( yes Spam ! ) .

Kraft Dinner has two designations, depending on your situation: “comfort food” or “struggle food”.

Ellie – “I was going to put weenie bits in it but Elizabeth gave them to Edgar and we don’t have anymore weenies.”

When my daughter was little, I put chocolate chips in her pancake to make it special. Then it became a regular thing. I tried to explain that it wasn’t special if I did it every time, but she rebuffed my logic. Now she’s all grown up, but still wants chocolate chip pancakes when she comes to visit. I’m more than happy to make them.

Before I found out it will kill you, I would put Pepperoni on top of the mac and cheese casserole.

Now we eat a somewhat healthier diet. I want to outlive trump. You need goals in life, to give it purpose.

Elly, I was just going to say the same thing. I have a Chihuahua that wouldn’t eat his canned vegetables, so I started drizzling a little bacon grease on the veggies. Now he won’t eat them unless they had grease. With weenie bits in food, I’d think Sheldon Cooper lived there!!!

A bit of reality today. A LOT of people do have Mac n’ Cheese as main dish at dinner. A LOT also have nothing much at all for dinner. We are so fortunate here in N. America… We even have indoor plumbing and fresh tap water, too.

Haha… Edgar is eating better than John. Too funny.

I have never yet put kibble in my mac ’n cheese.

We have Spliff’s Gastro Pub in Jacksonville FL and some of their specialties are their mac & cheese bowls. The Jumbo Shrimp Bowl with Cajun garlic shrimp, bacon, tomatoes, spinach, and Parmesan, is one of my favorites.

Putting processed meat (hot dogs) in Edgar’s food is a bad idea-too much sodium and other bad-for-you ingredients, and Edgar doesn’t know any better than to eat them.

Save the weenies for John.

My mother cubed Spam in it.

When I was little (back in the early 50s) the box said Kraft Dinner, and they advertised it to be about 7 cents per serving! I prefer my macaroni and cheese homemade but keep the boxed stuff for the grandkids, which they prefer.

Elizabeth used up all the weenies for Edgar’s dinner.

Mac & Cheese with “weenie bits” was my go-to dish as an impoverished college student. You could get the store brand dinners, 4 for a dollar. pack of cheap all-beef franks and a little milk and you were set for at least 4 dinners, probably more.

We have Mac and Cheese with a can of Hormel chili and a Chula sauce. Makes a good meal.

You know John, if you complain too much about no wieners in the mac and cheese, Ellie just might accommodate you, by adding your wiener, as in John Bobbit Mac and Cheese.

Kraft Dinner is what the Pattersons eat after a day out in the streets with their fellow Canadians.

Weenie bits of WHAT???

My mom (r.i.p.) would sometimes fry scrambled eggs with bits of wieners/hot dogs mixed in with them. Good stuff, it was!

We put onions and crumbled bacon in and top with bits of parsley. Yummo.

Hildy and Lindy were both champions at Bobbing for Hot Dogs (eating cut up franks out of a pie pan full of water) at annual Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue Wiener Roasts. Angel didn’t get it – she’d just lap the water.

Is that a Canadian term? Has anyone ever actually said ‘weenie bits?’

Speaking of weenies, now that Michael is dateless, Elly is going to have something to say about his schoolwork. Until he graduates and gets himself a good job, Michael better not be using that body part between his legs that looks like April for anything except urination.
